First time trying out 295s on this heavy car, turns out not bad. ONLY clean lap I got during that day, got into 38 the next lap but got block at the last section of the lap. Should be an easy 38.

BTW please check out and fix my NJMP Thunderbolt lap time. That lap was done on Toyo Rs instead of RRs. Rs are faster than RRs in case anybody gets confused.
Hey there! I'm a coach with HOD so I can get Toyo's at a small discount. I think I'll try the new R's in 295/30/19 to fit my 19x11 square wheels. Questions for you...
What size wheels are you running?
How much faster are the R's over the RR's?
Do you have an opinion how they compare to SC3 or SC3R?
Would you buy again?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there!
1. I’m running 18x11J front and 18x12J rear so a bit overstreched, I think 19x11 will be a better fit for 295s.
2. The Rs are a lot faster than the RRs. In my experience, RRs are more on par with V730s. I actually ran a better lap time at Summit Point on 305 V730s than on 315 RRs. Rs are more in the RE71RS territory. A couple of my friends who've been running on RE71RS said they’re pretty similar pace.
3. Pace wise I’d say Rs are somewhere between the SC3s and SC3Rs. Rs probably last a bit longer than SC3Rs, my last set lasted about 6 days before the fronts corded.
4. I’m on my second set already so yep, would buy again!

Great feedback! I'm more excited to try them now! I've been getting at least 4 and sometimes 5/6 track days out of the 3R's. Running square and rotating definitely helped extend life especially when it comes to the front outside shoulders!

I'll buy the Toyo R's in a couple weeks as I hope there'll be 4th of July sales. Fingers crossed, my experience aligns with yours. You'll know if they're effective when I post a new PB! lol

If you can get them in 35 series (295/35/18) I think the additional diameter will put down power better and fit on a 12" wheel a little better too.

I've had good luck with 295/35/18 RE71RS on 18x12 and the 12" wheel has noticeably better grip vs 11".
