The sad part, it was 3m tape from Ikon. I'll find the gorilla glue double sided and order some so it's here when I get home and have time. I won't be able to do it before I leave. Thanks for the tip! I normally have good luck with 3m, even used the adhesion promoter on it too. Oh well, glad I caught it when I did.

i had the louvers on my last car for 2 years and my current car for 2 months with no problems.
make sure you clean the around window good with alcohol because if there is any residue of wax or anything that would prevent it from sticking

Give it time, they will fall off. I take my louvers off once a month for cleaning, and occasionally have to replace the adhesive on one. Just rip off old tape, put the new tape on, tighten it down to louvers then set it down in your window, super easy. There are different strenghts of tape adhesives, and the 3m one that it comes with, isnt the best, but obviously is working for some.
When they first came out, It was common knowledge to swap out the factory tape, but after all these years, that step must've been forgotten. But it gets over 120 degrees here, I enjoy higher speeds, and have a sub in the trunk, so I could just be extra, lol, anyways, glad to have another louver car in the club, enjoy!

Yeah cleaned it completely with isopropyl alcohol and then wiped it down with the adhesion promoter. That being said, I ordered the 60 lb gorilla tape that will be here when I get back from vacation. Thanks for the tips y'all. Excited to get them reinstalled.

Exclamation 4k stall

Serious question, I’m currently running a GPI ss2 cam on my 2018 Camaro 8a and it only had kooks long tube headers but I just purchased a 4k-4.2k stall from circle D since that’s what they recommended but my tuner is saying that’s too aggressive of a cam, would this bring me many issues to my car since it is my daily? Should I change it to something smaller?(circle d said even if I do 3600 Id still have issues if I don’t tune my trans) but since it is my daily I can’t really send my trans to get unlocked, or should I just apply it in hopes of not having anything break for the foreseen year? yo

That’s too much stall for a daily driver IMO. Hit up KingLT1 on this board for a stall recommendation.

You should tune the transmission regardless of what stall converter you do. You do not need to pull the transmission, just the TCM. Overnight it in to HP Tuners, they’ll unlock it and overnight it back. Or buy an unlocked core from them. Much easier than pulling the transmission lol

I would listen to your tuner, since it sounds like you have no idea what's going to happen to your car with the parts your wanting them to install. Do you even know what a stall converter does?

What did I do today?

1. Finally got my new Katech Dual Drop In Fuel Pump "dropped in" Now I need to wire it up...

2. Did my final test fit for my rear bumper belly pan... Damn she fit perfect!

3. Drilled and tapped the back of my blower in two spots for some additional IAT sensors... more on that later...

Very excited about the belly pan! Not having something like that has been my #1 reservation on getting a cat back.

How do you remove the black clips without damaging them?

My first though when seeing the the fuel pump access panel was "Damn! That took some big balls to cut and drill that close to the plastic fuel tank!"

Nicely done. Love the threadcerts, nice and clean. Do you have pics of the new access panel? Did you fabricate a custom gasket to seal the new access panel? I'm thinking 1/8" rubber or neoprene gasket material would be a good choice.

Sure as hell beats having to drop the rear subframe and fuel tank to access the fuel pump.

Tell me more about the rear belly pan. What purpose does it serve?

When you remove the stock suitcase muffler it exposes the back of the bumper cover and causes a parachute like condition with the air flowing under the car. The belly pan across the back smooths out the air to go past the bumper cover and reduce drag. At least this is the theory I have read.
