Just finished up the rear seat delete. Took about an hour and a half, going back and forth watching the video from @Blackmonba6Gen. Pretty easy. Thanks for the video! Much easier than trying to follow the manufacturer's directions.

Do you do just short trips? Or is it more you don't take it out very often? I know your plans for the car from a previous post, and as long as you're enjoying every second of ownership then I can just buzz right off. But I just wanted to say to make sure you do that, and are enjoying every second of it! It will still be cherry when you eventually pass it on

Cheers, you take care!

My 2020 2SS (delivered january 2020) has just over 11,000 miles on it, ALL nice weather (never seen rain), fun driving, weekend car, it isn't my daily driver and only has so many miles because I force myself to drive it... I took it to a local Brazilian grocery store today just to get it out, it's last drive was exactly a month ago to take it to the dealer for the BCM/TCM software updates... And I live in San Diego where "Driving Weather" is probably 350 days per year... I love driving it, but I also just love looking at it and enjoying working on it or just giving it some TLC... Never in a million years did I think I would be able to have a "Luxury" such as this and I truly cherish every moment, I just want it to stay nice...

You don't have to buzz off, it's all good! . A little of both, honestly. I don't take it out a whole lot during the May-October time frame due to a variety of reasons. Weather, work, kids' sports or other activities. I got the car knowing I wouldn't daily drive it. The trips I take with it are fairly short. I either drive around the streets close to home or I'll take it to work a couple times during that time span(21 miles each way) BUT when I DO take it out, oh yes, absolutely I enjoy driving every second I'm in it! . Not that I want to rush it, but maybe when our kids are out of the house, I'll pick up the pace of driving it more often.
You take care as well!!!!

Totally get it. It is also one of those cars for me, never thought I'd ever be in a new car like this. I just want to keep it nice.. although I also just want to enjoy/drive it so I'm trying not to let those two feelings clash too much!
I hear you about the fair weather thing, while the car has seen rain, it's only a handful of times. To the point using the windshield wipers feels new and weird still. I took it out last night and a spot of rain came out of nowhere.. I'm almost embarrassed at how disappointed I was the car got rained on (I know my wife noticed the change in tone in my voice when it started raining, LOL).
Definitely keep taking care of it, these cars deserve it! It's clear you cherish every moment with it, which is awesome, and I can relate

All good bud, just glad to hear you are enjoying it! It's all that matters! I also shouldn't forget that keeping the miles low IS a part of enjoying it for some of us. It's a fine balance for those of us that care, and was a struggle for me as my first new car watching those miles climb. I'm at ~10k Miles now, and you know what I've decided.. Zero regrets!!

I only bring it up because of things around me remind me that life is short.. We need to enjoy things to the fullest!

Did a couple more things this weekend. My center carbon fiber plate lifted, so I threw a little thicker tape on it and now it's good. There is a little lip at the front and the back, by using slightly thicker tape, the adhesive is able to reach. I also cut up the hazard carbon fiber to get it to fit right, looks pretty decent, and got my door handle trims installed as well. Definitely help complete the look. I just want the start button and headunit in carbon fiber then I think I will be done. I also took off my rain gaurd, it's pretty simple, you just have to pry behind it, once you remove all the bolts, it's double sided taped on. I installed sweet new hood scoop brackets, that help lower the scoop for more air flow. I do wonder, how it will effect the rotofab, think it will be more beneficial, or worse?

I see you installed a new CAT as well… Looking good!

Congrats! You’ll need to bring a pickup or SUV to bring the trophy home though…

what part did you have to add thicker tape to? asking because my carbon fiber part that goes over the door trim with the lights came in a few days ago.
but waiting till i take my car to the shot and have the onstar fixed before i install it hate for the dealer to ruin it

My bet is on these two segments across the ends. The included 3M tape is extremely thin, because this trim piece is 100% carbon fiber, not a thick soft cover, and this tape has a very hard time grabbing the plastic trim cover, as there seems to be a bit of tension at these two points.

Heating the back of the cover with a hair dryer definitely helps, but a thicker double sided tape is an even safer bet.
