You noticed how quiet it's been the past 2 to 3 days in here? The Mustang trolls have exited the building. They have nothing left to argue about.

ZL1 would be funner if it had less HP.

Every thread eventually runs its course. This one stopped being relevant once it shifted to being about the GT and ZR1.

His critism about torque and power is completely insane.

I have a GT and the pathetic low-RPM torque is NOT fun on the roads in cities. It’s one of the main reason why I didn’t get a GT350R and why I ordered a ZL1 (i hope it passes Production Control... no News yet)

Edit : pathetic for a V8 I mean.

Indeed. Waiting until the next metric comes in for good discussions.

"I honestly couldn't care less. The 1LE is a great performing package, and we've known that for a while now. The problem is that the rest of the car is garbage. The interior design sucks and the visibility is worse. Who thought it was a good idea to have the AC vents blasting on your right hand?!? Not that I care about trunk space and all that, but have you seen the pathetic trunk opening on the Camaro? You'd be hard pressed to put a laptop through the opening. It's honestly laughable. There's a reason why the Mustang is killing the Camaro in the sales department, despite being the lesser performing car--it's simply a better car in virtually every other aspect. Stuff like trunk access and visibility matters to a LOT of people.

I also prefer the way the Mustang drives. While I can't speak for the 18 (I have a 15), the gearing in the cars is night and day. The LT1 is a great engine and has a ton of torque, but that makes it boring to drive on the street, IMO. You can honestly drive the car in 3rd gear and never have to shift. I prefer to rev up through the gears and rev-match down shifts and all that. To me, it makes the car more fun and engaging to drive. Other people are after pure numbers, and that's okay too. They can buy the 1LE.

Having a slower car from the factory just means you get to have more fun modding the car anyway!"
I saw this response on M6G. Quite honestly this comes from someone who simply wants a Mustang, not necessarily looking for anything else, and then finds out that the car doesn't stack up to the competition and therefore needs to justify his/her purchase. Which is understandable, and you must take that response for what it is.

I completely agree, I just went from a ScatPack A8 to a 2018 GT pp A10 and the lack of low end torque takes away most of the fun driving around town. Torque is what puts a smile on your face when you step on it.

And Imagine how it suck with my 2016 manual GT.

Must be at least a little better with the slightly different engine and A10.

Go over 3500 RPM and BAM! The car takeoff!

GOD I can’t wait to try the ZL1!!

Looks are just a preference. Aerodynamics are becoming more and more influential on exterior design, and that’s especially apparent on the 6th Gen Camaro.

So, who's gonna start the 1LE vs GTPP2 thread?
