Hmm....Second dyno sheet to show a lose of low-end torque. Nothing I've seen so far makes me want to pull out the credit card.

In every case so far (including our testing) our ZL1 system picks up an additional 10-15 HP with the hood closed vs. open. The 10-15 HP difference on top of the gains you saw would would put you right in the 25 HP range we have seen with this CAI. That's probably why you feel more of a difference in actual driving. To avoid the intake of stagnant engine heat on the dyno, we recommend shutting the hood just before making the dyno pull. This will help simulate the fresh air that you would be taking in while driving down the road. |
