Wow blind loyalty is ****ing sad.
Cross shopping the two was never the point. Just my sarcastic way of phrasing things. The point is, for $400k+, it oughta do better. Much better. For $400k I would get a McLaren 570s and spend some of the change on a ZL1. Actually probably an SS and call it a day.

The GT might just need a Driver upgrade. It's so hard to tell which would be better based off of a video with 2 different drivers.

I would take the GT, have fun with it for a couple months, and sell it to get another Camaro and $$ in my pocket.

If you buy it new you can't sell it for a certain amount of time.

Ford ruined the GT IMO with that stupid little V6. I don't care how much power it has, the sound is so un-sexy.

If I was in a position to afford a Ford GT, I wouldn't be looking at a Ford GT.

Leno did a great video on the new GT and he politely points out that critics don't get it. I would tend to agree. The GT is its own thing and is a fantastic machine. It's beautiful, fast and balanced. And it's the winner of one of the toughest races on the planet, which pretty much ends all arguments.

A 1LE is probably 95% of the GT, but that extra 5% requires massive tech and engineering. The wonderful thing is that so much car tech has trickled down. 25 years ago we were all so impressed with a Nissan Twin Turbo 300zx, which could handle and hit 60 in 5 flat. Now we can buy a Hellcat, a car not far off NASCAR power or a 1LE that can hang with nearly anything on a twisty road.

Even if you don't have 70K, you can still have CRAZY fun in an Evo X or Subaru STI or Mustang or Miata for a LOT less.

Great times...but that Ford GT is a work of art. Period. I'll have to see if I can fit in one.

R.

Yep. I would be very nervous and paranoid if I drove a Ford GT on the street.
To the point I couldn't enjoy the car.
