WTF on the cup holders comment, I know it can't be any worse than the Camaro, the 350Z and Corvette get this correct. If I read correctly from tge CTS-V owner comparison the ZL1 has this problem with the wiper blades too... Can't disagree with the Rear sway comment though, haven't drive one enough to notice.

Yeah even if it only went 3 seconds slower on the 'Ring, some people would stake their entire opinion of the car on only 3 seconds, and make black and white judgements about which cars are faster than what based on a single point of data...so to a lot of people 3-5 seconds on a 12.9 mile course means alot unfortunately.

I won't be taking any car to germany to run the ring ever, I can also bet neither will most people on this forum.
I would be more interested in seeing stateside track times because I CAN ACTUALLY GO THERE.
this is what i keep trying to tell people. that said.....didn't one of your members here supposedly already clock the gt500's that were there last year, finding one of those to be in the 7:30's?

new jersey motorsports park is only 50 miles from me. chances are good my gt will see that track this year.

I'm very sure a legitimate 7:30-something time by a Mustang GT 500 would be widely spread faaaarrrr beyond a Camaro site...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...eife_lap_times

Nope...don't see it. As a matter of fact, the list is very conspicuous for it's almost total lack of Mustang times...they definitely must be lacking in certain apparel in Dearborn... NO FEAR...

you missed what i was saying. i didn't say anything about official times. i don'tg think for did any official times. it pisses us ford guys off more than you'd think....even if it's only for arguments sake.

i thought i had found something by one of your members saying that he himself....or a friend of his....had timed the red and the black shelbys that ford had there last year.

I guess we will see what Ford claims with the GT500. Of course, as things are today, there really are not a lot of rules for running these times.

they both run Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G:2. i suspect that these tires won't last long treadwise.

also, i see a lot about the tire size on the shelby being smaller than that of the zl1 being reason to doubt the shelby's ability to match it.
don't forget.....the shelby's a bit lighter, and accordingly a smaller tire may well be more than appropriate. in fact, i'm sure it is. the guys at svt aren't exactly stupid ya know.

the biggest thing the zl has going against it for performance, is its weight. i think even the ragtop gt500 is lighter than the zl.

Well, for "arguments sake", maybe it was your ol' buddy The Pill? Haven't seen him around these parts, lately...but I'm sure in SVT-Land he's a common occurrence...

So...how are you enjoying your first 24 hours of trolling over here? Nice view, eh, looking at Stangs in the rearview mirror?

that's the guy. he ain't my buddy, although a buddy of mine is registered here. i don't know his name in here, but he's a cool dude....i've known him for nearly 20 years.......in fact i just worked on his car the other day. great guy, and i couldn't find a bad word to say about him if i tried......'cept that he drives a camaro.

i actually registered so i could respond to the guy that thought that shelby actually still built the shelby mustangs.
