Just now, I have the nagging curiousity of what is different about the 2 springs, since they don't specify left or right on any parts site. I can't see anything significantly different when looking at the way they orient on the struts either.
I'm a hair over 28.. was looking at the bmr 3/4 front only that would make 27 1/2 that would be perfect for me.. wonder if I should atleast try for free.

Definitely try. The first service advisor did give me a hard time about doing the job, but the second found the bulletin pretty quick and had no issue with it whatsoever. There really should be no issue getting it done. GM has acknowledged a cosmetic issue and are being cool about fixing it. As long as your ZL1 falls in the date range, you're entitled to this repair. The stance is perfect to me now. 27.5 in the front and 28 in the rear. Ill post pics tomorrow.

My dealer was cool at first, found the bulletin, and asked me to bring in the car for measurement (which I thought was a strange request).
The bulletin states it should be 28" plus or minus .5"
Mine was 28 3/8" according to their measurement and as such refused to replace the springs. Sometimes living in a small town sucks...

I didn't see those numbers in the bulletin, weird.
Try another dealer if you can.

I guess they updated the bulletin.
Bulletin I posted earlier in this thread "#17-NA-208 - Front Trim Height is too High" must have changed.

If you have a newer one please post it.

They updated the bulletin, which sucks when dealing with dealers like this, because trust me that .5 inch makes a huge difference. Mine was a little over 28" in the front. It came down about a half inch and the result is perfect. Find another dealer. The springs are approximately $60 for the set. There's no reason for them to be scrutinizing the customer like that on a $70k Chevy. It's not like GM is going to ask for before and after measurements. They're just being buttholes about it. +/- .5" is a huge range when we're talking ride height on a sports car.

I have been waiting 9 days now for the springs for the coupe to come in. Make sure you plan ahead when you want the job done. Never thought everybody would be out.

So it's considered normal in that range? That's 1 whole inch difference from 27.5 to 28.5!! That sounds like too large of a difference to be considered normal. I'd air up the front tires to about 48 and see if that gets you above the 28.5 and take it back or go to another dealer if it does.
