Wow...Broke tires at 55

Was on Hi-way last night. No Passenger, but loaded trunk.Temp in low 50s. Was cruising at about 55 or 60 in left lane. Noticed a car about a car length off my bumper, didn't like that so I slammed it in 3rd and stomped and felt my tires break loose just a little bit. Coming close to 10k miles and seems the cars is getting faster over time. Anyone feeling car getting faster over time?

Same over here! only 7k miles, and it feels much more smooth and responsive than at 3-4k miles.

It could be due to the colder temps. As soon as the temps started to reach the 40-50 range here in NY, I noticed that the car started to pull harder. When I did a few pulls last night, the car was moving like a bat out of hell. I was giggling the whole time. I also had less than a half a tank of gas.

For the first time, I felt that this car had way too much power for the streets.

This is normal. Cold air has more oxigen than warn air therefore the response of the throttle is more aggressive. And yes 450+hp are not little.

Yeah once this baby gets seated in she gets a little meaner.

You have to love cars like this. Since the 60s mfgs have been slightly underrating them.

I've noticed that if I'm doing a second gear pull at 50 degrees or less that the tires will some times lose there grip right around 4800 -5200 rpm

It could als be your tires, if they are stock then they do not grip very good in colder weather.

Colder weather under 45ish out, I can break the tires loose slamming the gas in track mode with traction control off starting around 4k rpms in second, sometimes 3rd even, likely due to cooler air and cooler roads.
Back end has gotten a little squirrely NLS-ing into 3rd too. I'm on stock tires with a little wear. Good times

Mine broke loose today at 80 and that's no shit. Gotta have a bunch hp for that and cold pavement doesn't hurt.

Cold tires + cold pavement + cold air (+hp/+tq) = spinning tires.

Having said that, at 10k miles, your car may likely have lost some hp at this point due to carbon buildup from the direct injection. I remember a corvette thread a while back of someone posting a loss of ~20 rwhp after 18k miles (if I remember the mileage right), and they regained it after having the buildup removed.
