BTW, I wonder how the Shelby boys are taking this after paying all that money for their car just to be slower than a GT!! Oh dang, I'm wrong again, the Shelby wasn't built for straight line or for performance. It was built for the experience of owning one and the heritage of the name and the special engine and the exhaust sound...

Just looking at the comments in the Youtube reviews is laughable. Everyone is quoting LMR's 12.02 run yet nobody can replicate it.

You should see the smorgasbord of nonsense on their forums, lol!! I stopped going over there quite a while ago because of the silliness they post.

Two weeks to go for those in the Southeast. Weather looks favorable. A few Camaros will be there. No noise on the Mustang or Challenger sites but we’ll probably have some great bench racing stories after the real track times are posted. Group 1 is for a Bone stock car, no mods, full interior, original tires or the exact same manufacturer and size tires that came on the car and no octane booster. Group 2 is the same as Group 1 (read it again) but you can run with any front or rear tire combo you want. That keeps it safe for the HC folks and appeases those that run a DOT track tire and argue that it’s bone stock. Simple rules - just post your SGMP time slip in any forum on Saturday night for Group 1 or 2. Try not to complicate things by cheating or posting a bunch of lame questions or excuses. Show up, run, and post the result.

How do the M6 ZL1 owners feel about getting beat by A8 SS's in the 1/4? |

And you brag about a car you once said owned that was such a complete failure in Europe that they pulled it from the market.

Funny how you specified the M6 ZL1 only because you think it has bogging issues that will limit it thus giving the Mustang an advantage, lol! I assume you'd pit it against the A10 GT with 3.55 gearing too right? GTFO here man, you'd still lose even with every advantage you can think up. I'd put my money on the ZL1 with any trans any day. And at least 6th Gen Camaros have made it well into the 11s bone stock. The $65K+ GT350R with $25K ADM can't do it. The $55K GT350 non-R with ADMs can't do it. The 18 GT with all the most advantageous options on a rented track can't do it. The 15-17s sure as hell can't do it. Mustangs haven't seen 11s since the 14 GT500, lol!! And I wonder how Shelby owners will feel when yet another less expensive car whups their asses. Aww man, I just keep forgetting that Shelbys aren't bought for performance reasons.

Regarding that Mustang. Would that be a *GT, PP, A10, 3.55 gear, Michelin PS in drag mode run by a tuner at a track rental?
