I literally HATE driving bone stock cars/trucks with the A8 that have the terrible converter shutter, or the crap shifting. However, all of those have been solved with a trip to the dealership, and let them fix what needs to be fixed. (after all thats what the warranty is for, and better to have good hardware then try to bandaid something in a tune) I bet out of the 75-100 A8 cars/trucks I have driven stock.... I have seen about (6) get trans work done within the first 100-300 miles.... They all come back wonderful after a converter swap, or trans flush, or trans swap. (I have seen them do all three) Its night and day how much better the drive/feel with proper working hardware.... NOTE: Reminds me of the A6's when they came out with the crap 2-3 shifting, and everyone trying to fix it in the "toon" but it turned out to be a very well known TSB and fixed with trans swaps. But I do agree, locked converters at low RPM = happy tree huggers. Though they drive like poop. I love my old sloppy 4L60 234k miles with boost, and still kicking

the stock A8 transmission tune in daily driving is horrible. It has too much torque management, converter slip, and converter constantly locking and unlocking makes for a less than spectacular daily driving experience. Now at the track the A8 is fine. Its all wideopen shifts and it will do that great. But in daily driving, I don't like the stock tune one bit. Here's hoping the 2019 with the A10 will be a smooth operator with more power on tap. Id trade in a heartbeat just to have a smooth fast daily driver. My trans tune is ok-ish now but still not what it should be in my eyes.

Do you think that will carry over to the 19 Camaro, if it has the A10, and make it just as smooth or will GM screw it up too. I think they've got the ZL1 nailed so I don't see why not but you never know.

The A10 in the raptor is kinda lame... but thats because the power band of that motor makes me want to stab myself. I am just not a fan of motors that peak TQ at 2000rpm then fade. (If I wanted that, I would buy a duramax) However the A10 is a centrifugal blower dream come true.... on my instagram I have a video of what it does when it shifts. only drops a couple hundred RPM... so the powerband if TQ and HP people better car about is ABOVE 6,000rpm.
