Cold Air Inductions Elite Carbon Series for the ZL1
With development wrapping up on the Cold Air Inductions Elite Carbon Series CAI part number 501-5000 I would like to share some pics and brief info.....
I was invited to participate in development of the new system by Cold Air Inductions quite a few months back. It was a long, but worth while project. Gains which I personally witnessed were 24 HP and 21 TQ. But first and foremost is the end product..... a fully carbon fiber unit (except for the window and attaching hardware).... very light and very appealing to the eyes.... and a fully enclosed unit. The fact it is fully carbon fiber is why the development took so long... the system will be available in the next few weeks for purchase. I'm assuming those power gains were with a tune and/or modification to the throttle body?

I will be getting one for my ZL1 1LE when it is available. I have used only CAI systems on my Camaros. I have a ARH header set sitting in my garage now waiting on a CAI. I will put them on at the same time then get a tune.
