Suspension, tire and gear combos, weight distribution, corner weighting, etc. are what it takes to get a car to ET. We just keep throwing power at them and hope they run well.

Pray,

For the love of all things mechanical, I hope you find a way to stay NA. You don't need the big pockets of these large shops. Around here you are the NA Hero to many Camaro owners -- myself included. Watching your progress toward the perfect LT1 street/strip build is one of the few reasons I still visit this site. Thank you for all the work you put in.

And from what I've read on some Corvette builds of the LT1, you're spot on about not wanting to exceed 4.000" on the stroke without a longer sleeve.

Thank you Sir, I appreciate your kind words. I will keep trying to work out this current combo. My injectors just showed up (thanks Parish) so hopefully that will solve my issues and we will be good to begin dialing it all back in.

Stock stroke. Good pistons and rods. Then do whatever FI method you choose. D1x. Spray. Etc. I wouldn't do the drop in stuff. No real reason to if you are going to pull the motor anyways. Yea, a 416 might be a cool stump puller. But with todays technology in FI applications, you don't need cubes. You need strength and lots of PSIz. I like the shorter stroke for that reason.

My personal combo would be a 377, forged, ported heads with a sheetmetal intake. DI methanol and LT4 injectors. F1a-94. If I had plenty of money to burn. Until then, Ill just do bolt ons.

Id say drop in pistons and rods stock motor. Push the H/C as far as you can then lay down some dope!

Do a 416 after that on the dope.

416 and juice. Practical on the street, monster on the track. Plus, you would probably have some guys asking for you to build them short blocks after you reel off some 9's.... + another notch in the Pray Performance go stupid fast package

9's H/C SBE is the goal right now. I have the power now, just need the traction. We will see where it goes after that.

I am assuming this might be a winter project, so maybe we don't have to wait too long to see what Brett does.

I have some other things planned for the winter. Especially since we race all winter here. Traction is paramount. I am going to concentrate on the first 60ft first. If I can't hook this motor then I will never be able to hook a 416.
