Could this be a candidate for an Ask Al question? How do I do a big burn out at the drag strip?

Can verify this. I just tap T/C off and I can spin them as long as I want. ESC will kick in and cut power in Sport if you get a bit drifty with some forward motion, but I've never had it cut power when pressing on the brake pedal to keep forward motion to slow crawl.

yeah i honestly feel like the brakes are to strong to let the car just sit their and spin, I've done some burnouts in my dads GTO as well as my Hyundai genesis as well as many other of my friends cars with no issues. I had traction control completely off thinking that would do the trick but who knows? with all of these traction control modes i could be doing it wrong.. hopefully that's just it..

No i haven't, but as long as i can do that make a good burnout and run the car right after without plugging it back in i'll do that if i have to lol.

so just by barely pressing the brake you can sit their and burnout? i'm glad i'm not the only one, i was at the track as well and it happened to me which is why when i woke up the next day i was said i'd give it a few more tries to see if i'm just doing it wrong or simply how to do it in this car, dang 1LE making me feel like a noob. but it does feel like the brakes are over powering the burnout.

so when you just tap T/C off what mode are you in? sport? Touring? track? so instead of just spinning the tires at a dead stop it slowly puts you in a rolling burnout? i mean shoot as long as the power doesn't cut out i'm all up for giving it a try.

There is a forum here where you can ask questions that can be sent to the Camaro team, including Al Oppenheiser (Camaro Chief Engineer at General Motors).
The forum is called "Ask Al" and questions are nominated to be sent.
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=309

If you don't, I will craft a question in the next day or so. I will ask for SS and 1LE.

Hey mp3 boosted did you get it figured out? I tried today and had no luck. Brakes just shut me down. Gave up after 10 tries poor car. Did using just a little brake work. Didn't try that as I hadn't read the whole thread? Also what do you find is the sweet spot for rpm's? Try again tomorrow. Thanks.
