That's very solid numbers, I'd be very happy with that. So happy in fact, I'd call it quits at that point, that's about where I'd want mine to be.

Really nice passes Speedy!! Congrats on those 10s and beating your old car. I knew you should be able to with the cat. So your race weight is with you in the car? If so, that's over 200 lbs you managed to remove! That's huge and worth about .2. Even with the help of less weight, the mph is very impressive! Any added power?

I tend to show respect when I think it's due, in this case, I think the dodge deserves it. I crossed shopped the hellcat but chose the Camaro because I loved the look, and because of the drive shaft and rear end issues I read about the 'cat.
I'm a drag racer at heart, so I could've gone the other way if I wanted to be quicker. Yes, I do believe the hellcat is quicker if both have some type of sticky tire. Since the ZL1 is still relatively new, only time will tell how well it responds to minimal mods. From what I've seen, the big dodge flies with very simple bolt-ons.
I agree on every point. The hellcat has very impressive power and I thought hard about buying one, but I'm glad I waited to see what the ZL1 would look like and have in it. I would make the same choice again, but we really need that drag setup Chevy has been working on! As long as it's not crazy priced and we can choose what parts we want, I'll definitely be one of the first in line for it. I don't want the cage, small brakes, I'm not sure about the hard mounts for the rear cradle, and I'd like to choose my own wheels and tires.

Thanks for posting! With whatever tune changes GM's drag setup makes to give the 1.4 60', that'd put him in the 9s!!

Anybody know anything about this ZL1? 10.91 at what seems like stock trap speeds. Could it be? lol

The tire does appear to be taller than stock. It may account for the slower mph if it's modded. My guess is, at the very least, it has a tune judging by the way it leaves. It didn't seem to be hampered by tm.

Yes, race weight is with me in the car, and you're on par with what I'm figuring along with the .2. Most of the weight reduction was in the race tire setup. Beech Bend has scales so I'm gonna get a measure next time up. Alabama didn't have scales that I saw.

No added power what so ever. Stock tune for engine, stock trans tune, stock pulleys. The only changes were the race tire/wheels, drive shaft, and rear diff brace to help strengthen the diff and prevent breakage. The rest of the weight reduction was just 15 mins worth of effort like the two 10" Harmon Kardon subs from the trunk (came factory), back seat that pops out etc. Literally like 6 bolts and done for all of it. It's the same setup I ran on Orange Krush so I wanted a legit comparo. This Hellcat smokes my old car, and it's so easy! I had to work and work to find the forumla to get the old car to run 10s.

I'm real happy with a 10.51, but think I can get a 10.4x out of it with some practice. After that, likely a transmission tune and shoot for 9.9x.

But I was way up on mph from 122 to 126 and best of 127.5 for day from a best of 123.7. Maybe you also noticed it seems when I spin a little my mph goes up vrs moderate wheel spin or even too slow of a roll on and no spin at all. All of my best et are down on mph. Tm is just way to sensitive and if you had hptuners and could look at the last logs I did it’s redicilous how far the throttle stays closed and how much timing is pulled on shifts. Can take 10mph to get full timing back again then shifts and plummets again. I wish winter mode was like my caddy where it starts in second gear as then you would have a longer time on launch before a shift which then has the big timing drop. I might try soon as I roll out grab second maybe even third And let it just pull through it. A buddies twin turbo 5.0 went from high 1.68s to constant 1.50s just doing manual second gear starts. Wouldn’t over power the tires so easy but had enough to to get going good with a wot launch on boost. This car cannot command second at a stop which sucks as really think it would help. A 1.65 on this car will be 10s.
Can you really not start out in second? On my Callaway I can command M2 while staged and just bump the shifter back over to auto after I launch. A8 vs A10 though so I'm not sure.

I'd be happy too! That's a good time and speed for mostly stock. Two 10" subs?!!! That's some good weight removal right there! I've not tried any weight removal yet, but I don't have any big subs to make a quick easy drop. The back seat would be a really simple 20 lbs or so.

Are you sure there's no way for us to run at Beech Bend tomorrow? If not, it looks like I'll have to wait until spring to get another shot at running a stock 10. I'm hoping to have a drag radial to throw on it this coming spring, so if I can't get it done with the stock tires, I'll see if I'm able to make it happen with a tire only.

No second gear starts with the A10 unfortunately.
