ARH (American Racing Headers) full system with 2" primaries and dual tips, sounds amazing and we're making over 1100 RWHP through it.

It seemed like one from an old style small block chevy. So i had to wait for the replacement to be sent. Then the expansion tank leaked after it had been installed. Car had to be taken apart to replace it(more labor) Whipple blamed the installer saying that the bolts were overtightened? The hole in the tank was pretty large. I can post a video of it if i can figure out how to do so. the hole itself was in the middle of the tank. Finally got it all wrapped up last night. But from start to finish the car waS IN THE SHOP ABOUT TWO WEEKS. THEY CHANGED THEIR MARKETING STRATEGY FROM 591 HP AT THE REAR WHEELS TO A MUCH MORE CONSERVATIVE NUMBER. LOOKING BACK ON THE ENTIRE SITUATION I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH AND WAS GOING TO GO WITH A MAGGIE. oops sorry for the caps lock. Almost forgot the pulley wouldn't turn on the water pump had to get a grinder and take off some material so it would move. The belts seem to be tracking straight as i was worried after reading another post from someone on this forum. I will say that Dennis and John both at Whipple have been very prompt to drop ship the different products out to the shop. Just frustrated with the entire deal.
I agree.. I installed and helped other guys installed more than 6sets, but....

As I helped installation of 3 Meggi, I can say Meggi is better , install-wise.

I thought after all the problems "I" had, I should have went with a Maggie.
I truly believe that the Whipple was released before R&D was done.
The first customer were the "TEST DUMMYS"
Funny...after it (mine) was all corrected and fix, Whipple wanted to buy it back
(refund)....LOL. They should have sent checks to the first R&D guys, with a THANK YOU...IF I need parts now, I'll just look at my "BREAKDOWN" and order...LMAO.
Don't get me wrong, It was an awesome update, power wise. (SO FAR)
You just have to be a "GOOD" mechanic to install.

Side Note: I got (free) 2 Tee shirts, a hat and a pulley......I guess I was paid.....slave labor!!

Looking at that kit it states that it comes with injectors and a msd fuel pump booster? Does whipple include these with all their kits and do other companies include them as well?

Where Whipple is going to shine above everyone else is by the heatsoak. There is more room in their kit for more power down the road, something the LT4 and Maggie wont have based on the research I have done.

i am ordering a Whipple next spring and plan on installing mine myself as well.

A 2.9 (although less efficient) is a competitor for the Eaton TVS 2300.

The TVS2650 is a whole different galaxy, capable of producing a few hundred more horsepower than the 2.9L.

Does the TVS2650 fit under the hood?

They will be releasing an “under hood” version of the 2650 in the second half of next year

Can the stock whipple kit be modified with a different pulley? I see they offer different sizes, just wondering if i should go with that option once i get use to the stock unit. The other idea is headers with a full exhaust and a throttle body, I Also hear that there are pistons that are the same bob weight as the factory hypertetic ones. The crank is pretty good from what I understand, the weak link is the pistons. What should my next step be? meth and water system?

Interesting. I wonder if it would be just as robust as the current one.
