I would rather have a car that sucks with 840HP or 707HP than one that sucks with 650HP. Im now reading that the A10s cant run more than four laps without overheating. Pretty bad for a "track" car. See how this works. One troll feeds another. Dumb to keep doing this. These cars all suck and they are all great in their own way. I would be proud to own any of them. |

There's like 1 or 2 with actual issues that are being worked on by a dealer. Several that were just overfilled transmissions, which doesn't count as you can do the same to an engine with oil and causes issues. Plenty of us have tracked our A10s w/o a single issue. There is not a model wide problem on the ZL1 A10 like there was/is on the C7 Z06 A8s. |

For the vast majority of A10 cars being tracked, they're just fine. The issue with A8 Z06 were shown time and time again on multiple tracks with people that weren't close to their levels of driving. That's an actual problem and it's clear GM knew based on the cooling revisions in the 17 and up Z06s and now the massive frontal area on the 19 ZR1. There's always going to be someone that will take issue with autos on a track and turn a couple of issues on a couple cars in to an overblown argument. For those, I just put them on ignore so I don't have to read their obnoxious drivel. But, the A10, for the vast majority of people tracking the car is just fine. I tracked my A8 2016 SS and my A6 2012 Grand Sport on the same track I've had my A10 ZL1 on, and you can tell the design changes and upgrades in each revision in auto mode on how it handles shifting under load, down shifting coming down from mid triple digits and whether or not it tries to shift when you're going through a corner. There's a few things I'd have it do differently, but the car is fine as is for the most that will track it. |

It's like I went to the Grand Canyon last month and people ask how it was and I say, "Well, there's only one thing to see."

Fun thread to read. Lmao
I see alot of envy in the hearts of some. Being a drag race enthusiast, I am impressed as hell with the present day offerings of Chevy and Dodge. Both build a very good power train and each have their issues which get sorted out as times moves forward. The engineering which has gone into this Demon is phenominal. A few of you call it a one trick pony which indicates to me that you must not care for drag racing. That is ok by me. I'll give all the credit in the world to Dodge for building this car. It's no lightweight Copo for sure but it is one powerful and quick car that a guy with the money can buy from the dealer. What's not to like about that?

Calling it a one-trick pony isn't necessarily a dig on the car. That's what it's built for and intended for.
I used to do drag racing more often and just stopped caring so much about it due to local 1/4 drama from various groups. Plus, with cars like Tesla showing up, you've got to put WAY more in to a car if you're just going for who has the quickest ET... No one I know around here cares if you're bracket or not and how consistently you can hit your range or number w/o breaking out. |
