The mods will take care of me? Lol ok, for having a different opinion? Don't take this so seriously, a forum is a place where people can learn and have differing opinions without getting banned, stop replying to me if I'm on ignore. Don't own a challenger but would consider trading up for a Hellcat

Stop being a baby, and realize that what fiat has done is #uck÷$! Awesome!

Ive owned every car under the sun, damn near, including many Camaros and many more GM products. WGAF. This is a damn awesome car. If you can't see that, you know zero about cars. Most people that call troll are trolls themselves. What bridge do you live under? Just saying.

The only thing they did was drop an extremely powerful engine into a boat. (Very few other high tech details, like the trans, and that's it). Sure it's how muscle cars used to be, but does anyone REALLY care about how they used to be when every other muscle car is better at anything other than the strip? And speaking of the strip, it's a 10.3-11.3 second car. And calculators would agree with that. The magic they must have used to get that bitch to run a 9.65 was something to behold because 840 HP @ 4400 pounds isn't even CLOSE to running 9s. In fact, that's mid-high 10s worthy. https://robrobinette.com/et.htm

And IMO that's why you haven't really heard shit about the car since the initial hype and release (I know nobody has really gotten them yet) but the early testing from magazines sure did shut up the fanboys fast IMO. I haven't heard anyone throw the "Demon" around in a while and for good reason. I've got my money on the ZL1 drag pack, and it will leave the Demon for dead when driven by actual owners vs owners.
I have seen Hellcats run 11.1 and even high 10s in the quarter in Summer weather. That was with nothing other than DRs and one of them that was doing 11.1 had an aFe cai (which were known to actually lose power). So if a Hellcat can do low 11s to high 10s in weather that is less than ideal on DRs then I see no reason a Demon can't go well into the 10s and maybe even a high 9 on the race tune with race gas on DRs at it's best.

If you're using the calculators then you might not be taking into consideration that Hellcats have been known to dyno well over 600 hp...some even in the 650-680 range. So they are all severely underrated. And I'm sure the Demon will be underrated and dyno well over 700 to the wheels also. Consider that guys with a pulley, tune, and on 93 octane are pushing around 740 to the wheels and are in the mid to low 10s. The Demon is starting out at that point.

My point exactly. I can see bashing on a car that performs miserably. But the Demon is not that car. Neither is the Hellcat. All the people talking trash about cornering, what good is cornering gonna do when you're driving next to a Hellcat and he wants to give it a go? Most of the racing done in any of these cars is in a straight line.

I don't give a flying about a Dodge, this is a Camaro forum. If he gets his jollies coming on this forum and is a fake then I guess you support that kind of behavior.

Chevy claims 0-60 in 3.5 for a10 ZL1s. That’s absolutely possible on the street, and replicated by members on here, and tons of journalistic, reviewers. Call me when a demon goes 2.3 to 60 or 9.65 in the 1/4.
My HC had pulley & tune driveshaft 18" Street R's Solo 3" cat back and clocked a
0-60 in 2.5 1.49 60ft and a 10.0 @ 134.7 mph so I say we will see the demon in the 9's with good DA and track prep.

Yup. And even if it doesn't do a 9 it'll still be a formidable street car. As it is the Hellcat in a roll-on has been shown to slightly pull on the ZL1 and Z06 at higher speeds. That is auto to auto and manual to manual. An extra 101 hp (133 on race gas with the race ECU) and the only car around that'll be able to hang with it stock to stock will be the ZR1. Hell just to get the same number to the wheels as a Demon a ZL1 and Z06 will need a cam, ported heads, LTs, tune, and bigger blower. And that is against a bone stock car. You need all of that just to make the same numbers as a pulley swap/tuned standard Hellcat. So now imagine when people mod the Demon. They'll probably be making over 800 to the wheels on pump gas with just a pulley swap and tune. People can talk all the shit they want but the Demon will be nothing to underestimate.

Agree, the whole package of stance with stock tires, the launch, the whine of the supercharger and run with the naked eye is why I said it is making a statement.

It can not be denied its an aggressively looking car and it shows it and once in consumers hands we will see the true times which should still be very impressive. 5 years ago no one could have predicted a car with this Hrspwr and a warranty!

If you dont care about Dodge's then dont enter treads about them. Pretty simple. The only thing wrong with this thread is that its in the wrong section. Maybe that confused you. Lol

What do you run at the track? What kind of hp/tq are you making to the wheels?

And you're right. My Dodge does indeed suck...a whole lotta air into that nice big supercharger to push over 600 to the wheels and give me a supercharger whine that sounds like a police siren with an exhaust rumble that would make you think it has an aftermarket catback on it!!
