Also didn't Al say that they benchmarked the E46 M3 when they were developing the 6th gen chassis? If so they had a very high goal. BMW balance>Porsche Balance so no wonder the Camaro handles better.

Smaller 17 inch wheels all around. Skinny in front wide in the back. Gets you about a tenth over DR only.
My car ran 11.6@118 with drag pack, cai and ported TB. Worth 5-8 hp. And I’m 250 lbs. so comparable to this car with resonator delete drag pack and small driver. Some others in that range too but have moved on with more bolt ons so they will not be on the fast list with just those mods anymore They should be able to get down to 11.6 range with that trap speed. Unless it just doesn’t 60 ft as hard as a 6gen. Which I can’t imagine with the crazy gearing |

For it's entire life the L99 in the 2010-2015 automatic SS was 400 HP/410 TQ. The Mustang started at 412 HP, then went to 420 HP in 2013, then 435 HP in 2015 with the S550..each time GM kept the L99 put. The LS3 stayed the same, 426 HP, from 2010 to 2015, where the Mustang had the same jumps. Though I can't remember if the late LS3 Camaro's were rated at 430 HP following the switch over to EPS?. |

I meant implant the Grand Sport Engine. We all know Camaros don't really bring up the horsepower, so they can pretty much swap the engine and even if they don't. There are still many ways Camaros can still beat the Mustang with the same power, it's why 2016 camaros are ready doing high elevens in perfect tires and shifting.
Here are likely things for the SS: - Better Street tires and 1le improvements. - Grand Sport Engine. - Small weight upgrade (76 pounds max) - A Few ZL1 features - Price lowering to 2,000 to 5,000 |

So, GM should offer more for less?

I don't even know WTF these Mustang cheerleaders are talking about anymore. Apparently the Mustang was designed to beat M3s and Porsches but they got slower with the S550 because it was only designed to improve upon the S197 and offer a marginal increase in performance even tho it lost performance. And the Camaro was benchmarking the Mustang yet it got faster than the Mustang in the 6th Gen while the Mustang lagged behind and is now catching up to the Camaro. So the Camaro was chasing something it was already ahead of I guess. And the GT350 was chasing the 2015 Z28 for what reason I don't know since that was the last year of the 5th Gen body style. And the majority of people who buy Mustangs aren't buying them to have fast cars...good thing I guess. That about sums up the typical Mustang nonsense I've been reading. The sad part is, the guys on M6G actually are a lot smarter than the ones that stray over here. Comparing what they say to what these guys say I'd rather be over there discussing this stuff with them.

I'll tell you one thing, thank GOD I got rid of that piece of crap GT I had back when I did. And God forbid I ever hit rough times and have to settle and get another GT. And thank God I don't have to stick up for such a lousy POS as the current GT and Shelby. These guys have been getting their asses kicked for a good while now. So they're just a little excited that the GT is seemingly doing well. So out of pity I'm not gonna take that away from them. We all know that when the GT was faster it was by 2 tenths...when the SS was faster it was by almost a full second. The GT has caught up and even if it surpasses the SS most of the fanboys won't be able to afford one anyway or at least the ones that are faster. The standard ones will still be slower. And knowing GM they'll just come out with something and put the GT right back in the dumpster and Ford will still be playing catch up. And they still have nothing for the ZL1, ZL1 1LE, COPO, Z06, or the recently announced ZR1. The GT500 is MIA. The GT350 is impotent. And all their little hopes and dreams are riding on a 460 hp GT with an A10 trans. So there really is nothing to argue about. We'll see how this all unfolds.
