congratulations on the times they are great.

someday maybe a bolt-on 5.0 will go low 11's too. 10's is probably impossible though due to the lack of low end torque.

Isn't that the argument that you Ford guys use? The GT350 is better than the LT4 powered cars because it has a "huge" blower? But now the 1.8 is tiny compared to the 1.7? You guys need to get your bs together...

Huge compared to the 1.5L blower strapped to the 3.8L supercoupe, or any variety of 3.8L chevy engine? Come one now, you can’t be serious here, it’s EXACTLY the same ratio used. 1.8/4.6= 0.39 compared to 1.5/3.8=0.39

GT350 has no blower…and no-one uses that argument. The 03-04 cobra killed it because it was fast as hell (for the time) and was easily upgradeable. We all could be so lucky as to have the amount of residual value as the 03-04 cobra on our vehicles. And the fact that Ford has used blowers on their cars in no way diminishes their performance….else you would have to do the same to the ZL1. It’s a total BS argument. Horsepower is Horsepower.

The 03/04 Cobras were amazing machines, the 4.6 motors were bullet proof, so easy to mod. IMO it is still Fords best vehicle to date regardless of track times. The car was FUN!

The 17 ZL1 tested a best of 11.4 when equipped with the A10. The Mustang so far has only been tested by LMR. Lets see what it runs in the hands of someone other than a Mustang shop who isn't afraid to post all the details of all the runs they did. At 12 flat that is 6 tenths slower. That POS would have to be well into the 11s just to be 3-4 seconds slower. And even if it was 3-4 seconds slower that is still a huge gap.

But you wanna know what else is funny? The fact that if it is a 12 flat it is faster than the GT350 despite costing less and having much less power. My ZL1 is only 3-4 tenths faster than the GT (according to you) with a 200 hp advantage but the GT350 is 2 tenths slower than the GT despite having a 61 hp advantage. Explain that Ford shit. Oh wait, I just did...Ford.
