As long as you know what you are getting in the 1LE, congrats!

Check out the tire forum for info. One of the guys from Tire Rack will help you with Snows

I've been doing enough research that my wife is about ready to disown me, so I think I have a pretty good idea what I'm getting.
Thanks for the suggestion on the tires.

Congratulations man you going to love the car the V6 is beastly in the 6 Gen.

Hyper blue looks fantastic. Just the regular suspension makes it handle like it's on Rails so with the 1le it should be insane. You're going to love the car.

I've had my V6 since May and I have absolutely zero regrets.

6 speed transmission is nice and smooth. I recommend changing out the rear end fluid at around 1500 miles or so. Check out my post in the V6 section to see how dark and dirty it was at that point.

Also pick up a K&N drop-in filter. Well worth it for our cars you get a noticeable Improvement in throttle response as well it seems to make the car a little bit more Snappy.

Get your car oil undercoated before the winter so the salt doesn't do too much damage.

Again congratulations it's an awesome car you going to love it.

Well, the order has been placed, with the dealer. The manager will send the order to GM, on Monday, and I'll have a copy of the Order Workbench, that day.

And, the waiting game begins.

I got the Order Workbench, and it's already moving through the process. I'm already starting to get anxious to get my hands on it.

Check with any of the sponsors on this forum for a winter set up for your V6 1LE. Tire Rack, for example, has a tool you can use to enter your vehicle and will then list a number of recommendations. Shop around with all of the sponsors to find your best deal. Personally, Paul with PK Auto Design, was a big help and I've placed an order through him for my winter wheel/tire setup. I'm looking forward to their arrival.

HYPER1LE, thanks for the heads up. It looks like I may be ready for them even sooner. I just contacted my dealer, and my order status is now 3400, with a TPW of 11-06, 2 weeks sooner than the initial TPW that I was given. I'm getting even more excited to see my car now.

I just replaced the F1 Summer Only tires with the Continental DWS all-season radials. I can really tell a difference especially when temps go below 50 degrees. The F1s were getting hard and skippy in the colder temps. Congrats on the 1LE!!!

camaro426, thanks for the heads up. That's actually going to be the first order of business, once I pick up my car.

My plan is to just go full snow tires, as the winters in Utah can get pretty exciting, and I know that all season tires are no match for the driving that I'll be asking of my car.

I'll be purchasing a full set of wheels and tires, so I can just swap them myself, since I don't want to have to pay a shop to mount and balance tires, twice a year.

the 6 actually makes more horsepower than many old school 8 cylinders did,in fact my 2015 RS reminds me of my old hot rod 66 pontiac.it just does everything better and more comfortably.

That's the only reason that I could stomach buying a V6 Camaro. I remember looking at the V8 and SS Camaros in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and thinking 5 second 0-60 times were pretty impressive. Now I can push those times in a V6.
