watch the video of the 12.02 pass, something odd happens as the car leaves...it jolts forward then appears to spin the tires and proceed to run a 12.0.

Yea I think that is the problem with the sound. But I see the jolt. I wonder if that is what drag mode is doing to help get it out of the hole.

As far as the 12.0x time, I have no issue with it. Great time. We have nothing to compare it to, so I'm thinking it will be one of the better times.. Perhaps someone will squeak out a couple more tenths, but I don't expect anything more based on weight and power. Most people will not be running 12.0 with the 10A Mustang just as most don't run that time with the 8A Camaro.

As far as LMR goes, I feel like these videos and posts have given their business a lot of eyeballs they didn't have previously.

They definitely have the fanboys cheering. I'm actually glad to see that because it's about time they stepped it up. They made American Muscle cars look bad for 2 years now. But I also think it was a bit of a cheap shot to throw up their best time with the vehicle altered. I would have respected it more if they posted the unaltered runs along with the best runs they had. Whenever MM&FF or the other Mustang mags did a run they would say "oh well we went to the track and ripped off a X.XX and then we tried lowering the tire pressure and launching at XXXX RPMs". They give a full rundown of their runs including how many runs they did, how the weather changed throughout the time on the track and other details. They don't just post up their best run of the day and go off saying it's a X-second car. ANd they still haven't put up any details after these past couple days. Such a shame. I would have liked to see a full story behind their day with the car.

I like how they say they have the "fastest" 18 Mustang GT...lol!! Uh, no, you don't have the fastest 18 Mustang GT. You have a Mustang GT that is bone stock like every other one out there. And you ran the fastest recorded quarter mile at this time that we know of. That does not make yours the fastest, lol!! I mean, did Ford make one GT that was faster than all the rest and sold it to you? It's silly. Like they went and bought one of the first GTs available, took it straight to their track, made some alterations to it, ran a 12.02, and then immediately claimed they have the fastest 18 GT, lol!! Sheesh, these shops and their BS man.

Man, I'm just a noob here doing some reading and learning on the 6gen platform, but you seem to have a strong dislike towards mustangs.

I don't doubt they ran a 12.0, got rained out, came back the next day with DRs and ran a 11.6.

Buddy of mine says there's a third 2018 GT being put on the dyno tonight. Let's see what it does.

I saw that too. Not sure if that is drag mode and how it functions or if the spliced together an earlier launch with the run.
