I saw others trapping out in the 180's but don't believe they were stock. Most that seemed (sounded) stock to me were running right along with the 4 ZL1's that were there, that being from 170-175 mph.
A stock ZL1 should be close to a stock Hellcat IMO in the mile. I read some say that they trap high 170s/low 180s in the mile, but Motor Trend got 173.8 mph when they did the mile with the Hellcat. I asked on Hellcat forums as well, let's see if any respond.

I didn't see any Hellcats trapping at 180 that weren't obviously modified (exhaust at a minimum). High 170's is difficult for most any stock vehicle, the new Z06 Corvettes (without any aero packages) were running mid to upper 170's. The stock Z06's with the large spoilers front and rear couldn't get above 166.

Mid 170s is more realistic for a stock Hellcat. I was taken by surprise when I read 180.

nice run, based off your 1/4 time indicated in the vid and the fact you were still had positive acceleration at the stop lamp does seem you may have a bit more mph that could have been had

I'm not sure if I talked to the original poster on this thread or not. I was there with a 2013 ZL1 that has all of the drivetrain modified, see my sig for details. The weather was not great for the event this year. From what I saw on the wind sock the best wind was from about 10 o'clock on Sunday but only about 5-7mph. None of the big teams bested their previous records. This is the first fall, second overall event at Victoria, Tx. Much better surface than Beeville (and longer brake zone).

Regarding Hellcats, (there were a lot of them) I think most of them topped around 178 need official results to see. Jon I think was the fastest in a tiger stripe orange car that had headers, a pulley and a tune. He went low 190's.

As OP said it took some ginger application of throttle to get the car to hook up in the first 1/4. Seemed to be an even bigger problems with Hellcats on narrow tires that were sometimes completely sideways in the first 1/8.

In calm air it takes at least 900whp (and pretty decent traction and shifting) to hit 200mph in a standing mile.

The Texas Mile last month was not the best weather wise.
The stock cats were running 173-176.
Some of the same cars ran 178-182 at Beeville last year.
The black Hellcat that was running 178-179 is tuned/cai/had tape on the front end.
It belongs to my buddy Vic.
Friday was overcast and cold with up to a 28mph head wind.
I had tire issues with my Hellcat so I swapped out for the ZL1 Saturday.

Saturday was better but still gusted to 20 mph headwnds.
The best I ran Saturday was a 173.2.
Sunday my best run was a 175.1 with a slight crosswind.
I ran all my runs with full traction control on, no launch control.
Now that I know the car better I believe that I can run 178-180 with launch control and traction control off.
Hopefully next March the weather will be more cooperative.
