Got an update since he just published his video, Nick(GuitarmageddonZL1) ran a 10.98 at 128 in his all stock except drag radial ZL1 (There is no CAI intake). This was at Cecil on the 28th in great DA. He thinks he can get it lower like a .8 or .9x

Just saw the video as well. I asked him what the 60 foot was but he hasn't responded to one of my comments yet so not sure if he'll answer. His 5th gen is nasty as hell!

Somebody called him out on having CAI and drag radials on youtube and he responded that he didn't have any performance mods whatsoever on it. If it turns out it was stock tires that's awesome. I like the 128 traps the most anyway.

Haha I was arguing with him and a bunch of his cheerleaders yesterday on ZL1 Exclusive about what is stock. DRs on that car is not considered stock....dude is lame. His 5th Gen does move, but he complains or has excuses for every time he loses.

These cars are loosing everything the first 100 feet. I have raced many cars for years and my car and others have ran 129mph and that is good for low tens. These cars should.be able to run 10.60 with the mph they run stock. I think the rear gear is holding it back some for sure.

I don't think it's the gear. First is super low. 2nd is about equal to 1st in the M6 if I remember right. I've heard a few mention how the torque management keeps the throttle from opening all the way in first and second. I can't say for sure one way or the other, but I'd say that's the case based on the power of the LT4 and how low 1st gear is.

When you consider what the Z06s are running in similar conditions, I think the ZL1 is where it should be. I have a buddy who owns one. On average, the et difference between the 2 cars is around .3 . That's about right given the 300+ lb difference in weight. His car does pull low 1.6 60' times on his stock tires though. If we could launch as well as the Vettes, the times would be pretty close. I found the mph between the 2 cars to be very close also... I assume it's due to the 10 speed in the Camaro.

I agree with Steve, I am murdering my rear tires just rolling into it anywhere under 50mph. Actually have been looking for tires today as my rears are just toasted. Even when trying not to spin them I do sometimes, but I guess 700whtq at approx 2500rpm will do that. Unless trying to cut that good 60' time the tq management is not all bad.. It would be nice if we could just turn it off when we wanted to however.

Its amazing how much more grip these tires have when there warm. Everyone needs to be careful as were getting into cooler weather. Last weekend I went on long drive and 50 degree weather and the tires did not bite well at all after I stopped for lunch and car sat a hr. I had to drive a good 20 miles to get some heat in them.
