convertible chassis stiffening?

if someone from bmr could chime in that would be awesome. I noticed under the car the rear xbrace somewhat reinforces the the rear cradle. I was wondering if I could be removed and add the bmr chassis cradle support(cb008) could be installed to save some weight.

Good morning, Unfortunately, I don't have a good answer for you on that (at the moment). The X-brace connects the cradle and chassis in a much different fashion than our brace does. Plus we have seen convertible with an added piece of body material that the X-braces attaches to. I will be honest, I haven't seen enough convertibles to know if all of them have this or not. Regardless, this extra piece attached to the car where the BMR brace would mount, so they are not compatible. I will try to get some more info and get back to you. In the meantime, let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Pete
