I understand, if you do one mod, then a tune its cost x$, if you do another mod in a month or even 6 months, then you have to pay x$ for another tune.

I have read on here some people pay like 500-700 for a tune, you pay for some software or device and the rights to your car, or something like that. And follow up tunes were much less than the original cost becasue you have this stuff already.

You can always call who you want to be tuned by, and ask them, cost to tune as is, and if you wanted to add e85 down the road, what would that cost, see if you should wait.

So the good thing though is usually with a tuner a retune price is no where near the same price as initial tune, like my tune for e85 cost $460, but a return for me is $200 or maybe even $150 depending on the type of bolt one.

Ya I'm going to ask about this. If the e85 tune is cheaper to do the 2nd time around then I may get the first tune sooner. Not sure yet.

Never had a complaint on the Kooks bolts. That is kinda odd.

The kooks bolts were threaded all the way up to the tip so it was very hard to get them screwing in at the right angle. The stock bolts had maybe an 1/8 inch of smoothness on the end so you could get them in the hole and then it would go in much easier.

That all sounded wrong....

I had no issues. Mine came with locking Stage 8 bolts.

Ya mine did too. Like I said, they were threaded all the way up and it made it really difficult. Did you do the install yourself or a shop?

I did the install by myself, in my garage. Yes, it was a pain overall, but no issues with the header bolts. Once I had the header in position, I had no issues getting them started.

Correct. No tune yet. Car runs fine for now. Just lots of pops and crackles.
