NPP Sport Mode Stops after take off?

After I get to cruising the dual mode exhaust switches to Touring and gets quiet ( even tho the mode is still on Sport). If I slow down and cruise at 25 mph it no longer stays in sport mode.
If I stop and take off again, it starts loud again but same things happens.

Is there a way to keep it on Sport mode?

Yes, pop open your hood and pull out fuse 51. This will keep the dual mode exhaust flaps open all the time.

are you referring to the exhaust sound specifically? or the actual sport and tour modes... I know my fuse is pulled (fuse 51 if I remember correctly) but if you accelerate you get the deep sound but once your up to speed the engine will go quiet..

It's because the motor went to V4 mode when you got up to speed. It switches from V8 to V4 when it doesn't need a lot of power and it's much quieter.

Only for the auto trans guys. Mine gets quieter during cruise as well and I don't have AFM.

I am referring to the sound. The mode stays on sport.

The NPP valves close once you reach cruising speed regardless of the mode the car is in. The NPP valves will re-open if you press on the throttle hard enough or if the car is above 1900RPM in Track mode, and I think 2600RPM in Sport mode, and then Tour mode you have to just mash the throttle beyond 70% or so.

You can negate this action by pulling fuse #51 as mentioned above. This will disable all of that and your exhaust will be in track mode 100% of the time. However, if you have an Auto the AFM will still quiet it down some in V4 mode.

Yup, even in sport or track under WOT or cruising speeds the valves will slightly close or simply close all the way.
