Shifting at a lower RPM would only help if the car is no longer making power (Well above 6800-7500+ stock) or the tires spinning out of control and continuing to rev out the engine will just spin them more. Neither of which should ever happen on a ZL1.

Leave the nannies on and you'll be ok. I have seen people with Z06s NLS 1-2 and when the torque hits in 2 with nannies off the car loses control. But if you leave it in normal sport mode then you'll be fine.

my SS definitely has never done what yours did at 2:14 (blahhh sound, rpms going DOWN from 6000+ to under 5000, all while full throttle) I'm 99.9% sure I did not lift at all when I shifted... but I need to do one more time and make sure I'm around 6000 rpm just to compare the situation... i'm pretty sure it will just go to 6500 but I will double check, again. |
