I imagine the PP2 will come with a more aggressive tune closer to the current GT350. Excited to see what they do with the '18. They left a lot on the table when they released the first S550 offerings, looking forward to seeing the performance improvements.
Agreed. I'll add that the standard Shelby was no match for the SS 1LE and barely a match for the SS despite the hefty price. The R version was a match only because of the different aero stuff it had over the non-R and the CF wheels. So if the 18 is getting Magneride and if it is detuned and it obviously isn't coming with CF wheels then I doubt it'll put up much of a fight against the SS 1LE. I think the real competitor will be the PP2 and nobody is sure of what it'll have and how much it'll cost.

Good riddance. I think Ford did a terrible job with this one. They really dropped the ball. A diehard fan will stand by it. But anyone cross-shopping would probably go a different route.

I don't dislike the GT350s but it isn't for me. They did exactly was it was intended to do. It was a test mule for future vehicles that made Ford dealers big money.

GT350 motor is meant to be kept at high RPMs around a track, not for light to light grandpa style take offs.

Doesn't look too bad in that pic actually. But so far I tend to like the 15-17 front better

13-14 was the best year for the Stang...they have kept getting uglier every since.

If I had to get a GT it would be a 13/14

Great platform for the strip also. Light weight and SRA

I saw a few manufacturer Mustangs the other day, two GT's and one ecoboost. The eco looks weak. The new styling looks fine on the GT but it had the blackout package I believe. It was in Orange and had a black roof and blacked out grille which is needed to hide that catfish grille.

Now we need to wait for reviews to see if drivability has changed. It's not worth the premium price they're charging if nothing changed in that department.

15+ is the better car, gives up weight advantage but gains in motor capabilities are well worth it.

That is the problem with them. You either have to wind them up to get some acceleration, or you can gear it and then it'll spin and spin unless you add DRs and upgrade the suspension. And then you have to worry about it drifting off and losing control. If I ever get another one it's gonna be either modded from the factory (maybe a fully dressed Roush) or I'm gonna have all the parts all ready to install on it once I buy it. But I higly doubt I'll ever buy another GT.

They certainly looked more aggressive than the S550. I think the S550 looks better tho.

I just saw this post over on FB. Ford bought the vehicle back without putting up a fight even tho it had LTs and a tune (and other mods). Several people have said that Ford actually bought back a few of these and kept it under wraps...same or similar issues. They covered the car with a tarp and Ford has banished the video of it burning from social media. Crazy...
