Up to now there are none ZL1 in Germany. The ZL1 did not pass the homologation. The First should pass in the next few weeks hopefully. Maybe......not
Which base. Army or Air Force

?
Are you talking about official EU homologation
Or individual homologation?
I know friends waiting for 6 months the EU homologation with a preorder dec 2016
No news yet
Going back to France next year with my A10
For an individual homologation
Hope the front spoiler of the classic ZL1 won't be a no go...

I don't know for Germans
But french taxes will kill me:
-carbon taxe 12000$
-title 3000$
-new additional taxe 10000$
-FR homologation 8000$

The zl1 dont pass the homolgation in germany?
In switzerland its homologated, but with the eu exhaust from the ss

This is the reason for me not to buy it. My 2012 zl1 is homolgated with the stock exhaust and sounds like a beast. One of the best sounded exhaust which are totaly legal around me
I love it, thank you gm

Yes in CH are one or two 6gen ZL1 officially registered. But neither in Germany nor in France. The homologation counts for the entire EU. (CH is not a member of the EU) If you get it through the ZL1 will cost you about 100.000EU approx. 118000$ The 5gen is not a Problem but the 6gen, maybe in 2018.

I didn't know the import restrictions were so bad. Anyway, if they are not a member here I will try to hit them up in person some time.

Exhaust from ZL1 and 2 ss are different???
I had both (fifty and now ZL1) they look exactly the same for the dual exhaust!
And according to the Pictures of a 2ss fifty French owner (EU homologated)
It looks exactly the same too....

In eu

Yes, in the states the exhaust are the same. In eu not. The exhaust from the ss is not so loud, like the zl1.
We have a lotof restrictions here

The 5. gen was also100‘000 sfr in the beginning. The 6 gen is also 100‘000 sfr. You have just to wait, or import the car yourself. How i did. Look for an used one in the usa, buy it, import it, and biy the homolagation papers, when the homologation its done. This will cost you not more then 70‘000 euro.

Could also be a US soldiers car that was shipped over from the States for his tour in Germany. I had the only Evo 8 MR for like 5 years when I was stationed in Stuttgart, only ever saw 1 other 8 and one 5....The 8 belong to another Soldier and the 5 to a Polish chap.
