SC guys who changed their belts (Prochargers mainly but anyone can chime in)

Had some squeakiness this morning and figured I'd change the belt as some preemptive work during the next oil change/supercharger oil flush. Procharger has about 5k miles on it now, no issues yet. Did tension the belt a bit but the play seems to be good so far.

It is the first cold morning we've had since the install (gotta love Cali for that one reason) so I'm guessing the shrinkage may have caused the squeak. Either way it was gone when the day warmed up and I started the car at work to do a water test.

Been reading about Gates belts, Goodyear Gatorback, blahblahblah. Didn't see any belts for sale on the ProCharger store. Anyone know where I can find an 8 rib 64.5 belt that is "the best" in their experience?

Thanks!

I use Gates belts. And they are usually stocked at Napa.
As far as the sizing it is part of the part number. My belt pulled up as a stock Ford explorer belt

I shall pay my local napa a visit tonight, maybe even slap the new belt in early just in case.

I've used Gates belts before...they even have a racing version for some of their belts. The normal ones worked fine for me in my WRX.

I replaced the ProCharger belt with a Gates. Not sure what size pulley you have, but with my 4.0 the correct Gates belt is a K080645HD. Got mine from Amazon.

Woot! Sweet. I'll check out NAPA today and possibly change this thing out tonight. TY!
