ZL1 / 1LE Third Brake Light
I picked up a "blem" third brake light from Matt at www.thatcamaropartsguy.com for $50 shipped!! Supposedly, he has a large batch of them that weren't packaged correctly and have some minor surface scratches. Mine looked pretty good to begin with, but I went over it with a little Meguiar's Plastic Cleaner & Polish anyway. Looks brand new now!!! Give him a call....he probably has more.

Thanks for the heads up! He was really quick to respond on Facebook. Sounds like a great deal. A long time ago I dropped some OEM tail lights in my garage and ended up scratching them. Followed a procedure on YouTube and they came out looking better than brand new!

Ordered them midday Friday and got them the following Monday (!!!) Looks pretty clean and I can't see any scratches. Going to install it this weekend. I'm glad you found this since I missed out on the introductory price.

Got mine like 2 days after they were shipped. Mine was scratched up, probably would say about 70% quality compared to brand new. I used some blackfire polish on it with a orange 3" pad about 3 times and was able to clean it up to probably 95% to new quality.
My only concern is did I remove a protective UV layer? Kinda wish I had some clear coat to throw on it. Can't beat it though for over half off for about 5 minutes of work. |
