6th Gen 1SS M6 backup camera issue

Hi camaro experts&friends,
first of all thank you camaro6.com for the best camaro 6gen forum!

long story short:

my backup camera have some issues. 5 of 10 days it works fine in the first 20 minutes of the driving-day. Then suddenly when I shift to R it shows me the [R] next to speedo but not switching from radio song info to camera view on the screen. WHAT CAN IT BE? Chevy service ordered a new one but still the same behavior. Maybe its just a defective contact somewhere on the cable/connector? Very strange behavior imho.

Do you have any suggestion any ideas (not easy to find a chevy service over here in europe).

i had issue with my backup camera as well.. i would put the car in reverse and the screen would go black.. while reading on the forum some member had mentioned to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes and reattach them.. it's been 2 months haven't had the issue again.. but again your issue sounds like a wiring issue.

Take it back to the dealer for warranty.

My camera always works but sometimes in the digital speedo area, the sensors don't show up

Thank you guys. Unfortunatly the battery trick doesnt help. Seems to be a cable thing.
How realistic is it to get the wiring schematic (esp. the camera wiring schematic) as a non official chevy service shop? Where can I get them?
