we had to use a 4ft pry bar. putting the car in reverse and e brake still managed to turn the tires. the tq on that bold is redonkulous.

It’s not that hard at all! As far as the crank bolt, 30 seconds with a propane torch and it will come right out. Easy day

yeah, the install was not bad. just took my time with it, but the bolt part was probably the hardest. we used a heat gut to loosen up the Loctite. came right out, but the force to put it back on (per GM's requirements) was lets just say... interesting.. took me 4 days (or two weekends worth) doing it. only help I had was putting the bolt and holding the flywheel with that pry bar.

Same here. Taking it out was easy but tightening it down I thought I'd never hear the torque wrench click and I was pulling with everything I had. If I had it to do over again I would make sure I could find a length of pipe to slip over the end of the torque wrench for better leverage. I was renting one from local parts store and thought my jack handle would slip over the end of it but nope that didn't work.
