Its a camaro. They all look pretty much the same except for the ZL1 iLE due to the batman wing. Granted there are small differences due to the other models but the 1LE wing is what people seem to notice I think. Most do not have a clue what is under the hood.
Have not had anyone who wants to race except one SS camaro with a kid in it.
People just look at the wing. Makes me want to wear a cape and a mask sometimes

I have had several people follow me and take pictures. Some made a u turn into the parking lot I turned into. Most always thumbs up. One under cover cop pulled me over and told me not to take off so fast. But I only went up to 55mph which was the speed limit. He said, but not that fast.

Kind of both here. Some people do not even look twice (or once for that matter lol..) while others come up to it in a parking lot and take pictures. Had one girl in a purple Challenger roll by it in a parking lot, stop, back up and take pictures.

Had a guy in a newer Z06 pull up beside me giving it the eye, we both had our windows down. After a minute he says "I like your ZL1, but it does not sound stock" (as it is sitting there loping on the cam). I said "it's not..." He then says "Well, I kind of wanted to run you, but that sounds a like it has a bit more than what I have, what have you done to it?" I explained intake, tb, heads, cam, headers, OD pulley, e85 and low side fuel system... His response was "yeah, probably better that we didn't then" as he was laughing. Gave me a wave when he turned off a few streets later!

That cop is an asshole. Unless you were doing something reckless, like losing traction and drifting into a lane other than your own, I personally don't give a rats ass how someone gets to the speed limit. If they want to floor it every single time between lights and obey the speed limit so be it. I'm not going to hassle the guy for obeying the law and doing nothing wrong.

I agree with many that its a Camaro not an exotic. A old Ferrari 360 or an original NSX gets more attention from the general public. Here in the DMV, if they see you in a Camaro they would think your some poor working class dude. Not a chic magnet for sure.......

Having said that, this is what I love about my 2018 Camaro. If you want to impress that demographic of people wrong car in my opinion.

Remember, our cars look like a Lego block. No one wants to race that. I have managed to rack up a 300 dollar ticket not so much that I was driving a ZL1 more so that I was going 30 over.
