Fuel, pulley and timing are the only changes. I even ran it on the dyno with the slicks on it. My total timing was 26 degrees with Vp Ms 109 and Meth (35%) Water (65%). It pulled no timing on the dyno and AFR was about 12.5. I think that shows why I've run over 136 mph and that's my highest 1/4 mile speed.
please post dyno so I can be green with envy....

Nice. Seems like a lot of timing. I am only running 18deg on e85 at 11psi. How much boost are you seeing? I may be playing it a little too safe.

I'm running 11 lbs of boost and timing is just right. No knock and I am running MS109 and meth/water injection. I'll post later, I have to download it to my photobucket account first.

Was that in 5th or 6th gear? Congrats by the way. 12.5 AFR is a hair on the lean side. What does your rail pressure look like. You can drop a ZL1 pump in the tank pretty easily. So when are we porting the heads and blower for this thing? You need some 2" headers bro. I am wondering what the slicks cost you on the dyno.

Did the dyno guy have any concerns about running a drag tire on the dyno?

Nice work and great numbers! Wish I could have been there, I was still in Iowa this morning but on a flight back to CA now...

Run 1 and 2 are in 4th. Run 3 and 4 are in 5th. He would probably see another 25rw in 6th like I do as the 1:1 gear. SAE smoothed to 5 would probably kill 10-15rw from these numbers. So it is probably solidly above 680rw in 6th SAE smoothed to 5. Solid numbers for sure. Again, not sure what the slicks did to the numbers. What we do know for sure is that this thing rolls out at the track. Great work Greg.

The water slows combustion, so you normally run a couple more degrees with it than without, but it does amazing things for preventing knock and keeping IATs and EGTs in line.
You probably have more in yours if you are only at 18, but watch for the point of diminishing returns with that E - don't add more timing than you absolutely need (even without knock). Ethanol has a really bad tendency to step right from controlled combustion to pre-ignition without ever going through knock (like gas does). I don't think I need to say that bad things happen quickly when that occurs.

We pulled 1 degree out on the last run and on 10 for the water. I like my motor so I plan on being as safe as possible. Water was on 12 with that extra degree of timing on the 3rd run.

In 5th gear it was shaking a little as it was up on the tires pretty good at 151 mph. It was fine in 4th gear and smooth as you could expect, but 5th was not. I wouldn't dyno with slicks again in 5th gear. I will put my street tires on next time.

Are the '10' and '12' the points of full duty cycle you set on the AEM controller for those pulls?

Street tires would show quite a bit more power IMHO.

Glad it made it through unscathed. I do know someone who has experienced a drag tire exploding on the dyno, which was why I asked if the operator had any concerns with the tire.
