this was a issue on the 5th gen as well.. Was told these are ways GM is able to play with the gas milage..

You don't see this on the vette's guess gm thinks if you get a vette gas milage is nothing to worry about lol!
Understood...these come in sets...hence the question to Stephen12ZL1 about the front vs rear gap. If you look at his photo posted, the front gap is way smaller than stock. I have seen a couple of Eibach lowered ZL1s and the front gap appears to be quite smaller vs the BMR lowered ZL1's, not sure why but that is what I have seen and it seems they have addressed that issue more. I have been waiting on lowering mine to see who would address that issue better. On my stock MRC, I am fortunate to not have that big of a gap (it varies from Zl1 to ZL1), but you can still tell there is a difference. This is the lowest lowering spring set up I have seen yet on a ZL1. I did see a Phastek set that was lower at a show, but that was on an SS and I am not sure what other suspension mods they had, but it was not just springs like I think this set up is (?).

Agreed on the Z06, but if you look closely, there is still a difference front to rear gap. My brother has a 2016 Z06, not as noticeable, but still there.

I have taken my time on lowering since I track my car frequently. Now that I have tried it out and gotten used to it, I am thinking 1.5in lowering is not going to make a difference from a tracking point of view

it surely is puzzling about differing gaps but the Eibach Pro kit seems to have addressed everything “just right”. I have a few more pics at max negative camber stock wheel/tire vs my track setup 295/30-20 Pirelli Trofeo R with a 20mm spacer. Pics below.

How do these lowering springs effect the handling, cornering, as well as the WOT acceleration?

Lowered on Eibachs

I lowered mine with Eibach Springs. Took the time for DYI in my garage and I am extremely pleased with the results. Aligned within 50 miles after install and bought lifetime alignment, so I can align whenever and if the springs settle more and throw off alignment. Time consuming project, but knowing I did it myself is priceless!!!

spacers in front only as the wheel specs are 20x10” +30. No rubbing at all.

Thanks for sharing. I was thinking of tackling it on my own as well. Was the install pretty straight forward? I have installed lowering springs on some import cars when I was younger, but I am not sure if there is anything in particular to watch out for/or be concerned about with the MRC or anything else...? After seeing your photos and Stephen's photos, I like how the front end of your cars sit. I am not really worried about the rears, just the front. If you have any words of wisdom, it would be appreciated

Thanks again...if you have any additional thoughts on installation, I would love to hear it as well

Ensure you have the correct box wrenches; they seem to work better for the back and just take your time. If you have someone to assist, you will save some time lining up the link holes in the rear. I used jack stands, but it would be much easier with a lift. Finally, I watched the video and used it for reference a couple of times during the install.

You can use the link above or search google for 17 ZL1 lowernig spring install and select video. It shows BMR spring install, but it is the same process.

watch the video...I had an easier time with the front as the entire assembly is removed and the spring swapped then reinstalled
