i'm not sorry....just fun street car. I like the other kits also, they probably make alot of sense if the strip is your goal.

My thinking was i'm into the car for 40k plus 7k for this setup and I have a nice sleeper 1LE....spending anymore I would just get the ZL1.

I’m sticking with the corvette lid and I’ll just hit up emblem pros for something custom representing the camaro LT1. Andy said the changes in the lid aren’t beneficial for what we are doing. Just for looks pretty much.

Not sure about hitting the drag strip. I may a couple times for kicks. I’m planning on road coursing it a few times a year. I’m a little nervous about keeping it cool at the road course but Andy said overheating shouldn’t be an issue.

Whats the cost to do the Lt4 with labor? I'm sure you could have done the Magnuson for about the same price and have more performance then the Lt4

I shopped around at quite a few places. Andy’s LT4 conversion installed was considerably less expensive than a Maggie installed. Factoring in shipping my vehicle to Texas it was still two hundred dollars less. And from everything I’ve seen performance with a stock Maggie install is considerably less torque and slightly less HP than a LT4 blower with intake. The warranty was the big draw with the Maggie but to get the numbers I wanted I would have had to mod it hence voiding th warranty.

Don’t get me wrong the Maggie is a great system and I had to think long and hard about which one I wanted. But I’m not looking for a 10 second car. If I was I would have done the Maggie hands down. They are both great looking systems and put down respectable numbers.

Actually the LT4 setup from ADM is 5k which is the same price as the Non IC Maggie, but makes +45whp and +120 wtq. I also don't see the LT4 setup costing 1500-2k more to install over the base 550whp IC Maggie package.

The base LT4 kit from ADM makes 550whp/ 600wtq.

The LT4 blower will make more power then the Stock LT1 fuel system can support...it's been pushed to 720whp with fuel and cooling upgrades. So for those that want to stay under 600whp, the LT4 is a solid blower and will put a 6th gen into the 10's easy. Not to mention it will have better efficiency on the LT1 because it does not need spun as hard to make the same power as the LT4 due to having higher compression.

The Maggie however offers a better upgrade path to making big power. I am still leaning towards a Non IC Maggie with Meth injection. Seems like a good option for a 570whp setup, easy install, and the meth will help keep the engine cleaner...however there is not wrong choice imo

The tune that comes with the Maggie kit is super conservative. With a good dyno tune and roto-fab intake I bet you would be pushing just as good or better numbers than the LT4 kit. The LT4 kit is priced pretty good though. I’ve been looking at both of these kits for a while and the Maggie is roughly $1500 more including install. I’m still trying to make up my mind on which one to go with. I did have my mind all made up to do the Maggie because of the warranty but I’m sure it’s near impossible to make a warranty claim so I’m not even going to base my decison off of that anymore.

Magnuson advertises 510 ft/lb of torque. In order to get 559, I would imagine you had to do a tune outside of the stock one provided, which would void the warranty. The LT4 has 600 ft/torque pushing 8 psi on a conservative tune. I feel like you’re thinking I’m trying to put down magnuson. I’m not. It’s a great blower. I just think the LT4 conversion is a good value for the money. Especially if you’re local to a shop that’s willing to do the conversion.

Nope that was the stock SCT tune and that's how I went to the track the first time. I've done lots of tuning changes since then and just got back from the dyno today and made 669 rwhp and 635 rwtq and still haven't done one internal mod and still have the stock exhaust on it, although I have changed the pulley, fuel and meth/water injection. We also had a M6 that was done at the same time, his made over 550 and about the same torque with the stock SCT. Guys are making about 580 with custom tune and Rotofab intake. I wasn't thinking that at all. Glad you got a good deal and have fun with the new hp/torque your gonna have. Find a friend who sells tires, you'll need them. Ha

What other kits has someone put on with only the included tune/sticky tires and ran 10's at the track ?

I'm only aware of one

Where are all of the 600wtq lt4 conversion only cars?

It all depends on goals and budget. If you can afford it then having a little higher ceiling with the 2300 is always nice, lets be honest, the majority of people will always want just a little more hp, its addicting.
