E-force coolant neck mod

So one of the other guys here did this to his car and I thought it was a cool idea, so with some stuff I had at the house I did the same one night. I took a pag oil bottle, washed and dried it and painted it black. Then wrapped it in Home Depot black foam hose and zip tied it around. Filled it up about 25% with coolant/water and ran my bleeder hose to it, making sure to have the coolant neck totally full before doing so.

I've noticed that the filler neck will now stay 100% full after shutting the car off and fluid will be in the bleeder line. And to be perfectly honest, the car sure does seem quicker. Maybe it's all in my head, but one thing is for sure. My pilot super sports can't get full traction in any part of second gear in 80 degree weather now, which they used to could. I'm wondering if before I was constantly getting air into the system due to not enough capacity in the little filler neck.

Regardless, I would encourage all E-force guys to do this. It'll cost you about $5 and seems to be worth it to me.

A simple solution to the fill and purge process. Glad it's working for you.

I still think I'm gonna go with a mini reservoir where my catch can is and move the catch can to the front of the car. But this is a simple solution.

I'm confused to the setup dave..

are you just making the neck bleed line go into a over fill reservoir? If so I have a nice Stainless metal one I can rob off a high dollar mower!

I assume the bottle is full to the rim?

Hey Jack, yep exactly. No, the bottle is about 1/4 full, but the tube is angle cut and goes all the way down to the bottom.

Well mean while I got this to add to the yellow collection. I would say the wife's car is faster on the hwy but not off the line or a slower roll.

Eforce owners, just do this. I did this a few months ago, beginning of summer and have not had an air bubble, or low neck fluid ONCE in that time. This is a big miss by edelbrock, but at least its an easy fix.

Exactly what I've noticed. And seeing as how the car really feels quicker now, that tells me I constantly had air in the system before. This without a doubt should have been incorporated into their system from the get-go.

Did y'all tell a difference that it felt stronger when it's cold and it felt less strong when it's warm and now it feels the same through the entire heat cycle. I'm not feeling any power loss cold or hot but I still want to trythe mod

Kinda. As long as the IAT's are sub 130 then it feels very strong all the time.
I never beat on it when cold, just know when they're under 130 it's awesome all the time, even in 85 degree weather (if Killer Chiller is off). Either the car is faster or my super sports are suddenly not gripping nearly as well on 2nd gear rolls, lol.

I dont think it makes the car faster, but it sure as hell helps keep the car below 130 IATs mostly), which is when the car makes the most power.

I was filling and purging every few weeks before i did this, now it's good to go.

The maggie kit does have an overflow...
