Break in complete!

Installed a stahlbus valve during an oil change. Learned that there's quite a bit of oil above the oil filter in this block. Explains the wait 2 hours to read the dipstick rule. Tried the ziplock bag around the oil filter trick; didn't work so well. I'll just wear gloves next time.

Crossed 1500 miles.

Yesterday, changed my differential fluid at 4K miles. Wasn't very dirty, but considered worth it.

Just changed mine too and similar experience. The ziplock idea sounded good but didn't quite go like I thought it would, besides it's not easy to turn the filter when it's surrounded by oil and plastic. Yes, I found out there was way more oil than expected above the filter too, although the ziplock did catch some of it, I just removed it and finished without it.

What bag are you guys using? I use a 1 gallon bag and have no problem catching the oil and the filter. I’ve done it three times now… I probably missed a couple teaspoons that go off the side, that’s about it. Also you have to have it where it’s when it’s in the bag it only takes a quarter I have to turn or so to fall off meaning it’s about ready to come off you can’t screw a lot of threads if it’s in the bag ,obviously.

A friend of mine whos very anal uses kitchen garbage bags, he never spills...…

Good! I was looking for it last night....

I ceramic coated my car with cquartz today. It's extremely simple. Do have a couple spots where I let it sit too long and got streaky that I'll have to polish out but I was getting extremely fast flash times, like 1 minute. Roughly 80* here today and 60% humidity
