Oh, no issue at all. Glad I could help point out your nonsensical writing skills.

Anyway, they recovered the car in the same day and I'll know by Monday if the vehicle will be totaled out or if it is fixable. The only damage was rear bumper, driver side glass, shifter, wheels/tires.

Everything else is in tact.
In CA it's different. Here when a ZL1/SS is stolen it is almost always totaled. Why? Engine/tranny combos are in high demand for street rods and they get a premium price for them. Wheels and tires are chicken feed.

I don't think anyone was trying to be an "asshole". It really wasn't clear as to what happened to the car. Nobody can offer advice unless they understand the situation.

To sum it up: you woke up and your car was gone. The police recovered it later that day with a broken window, and missing wheels. Sound about right? Just so we're all on the same page.

And my guess would be that was picked up by the wheels using one of those dollies that the repo guys use. It can be done very quickly.

Probably broke the window, put it in neutral, and picked up the front wheels using a dolly. At least that's my guess.

Common man , this forum is not mother Theresa forum , freedom of speech , some come in with positive comments and other not , that's what one gets by going public with cases like this
Good luck , and the less you put in here the better of you will be

I'll provide more details as they come in, not sure if I should go through the trouble of having it repaired completely or not yet.
The Communications systems check into the cell sites even when the Car is parked and Off.

Hopefully the Cops can recreate the movement of the Car and put the pieces of the puzzle together,

Try not to sweat it, that's what we pay insurance for.

On the bright side, when its totaled you can go shopping for a new ZL1

Your attitude leaves me with no sympathy for your loss.

Your post is very confusing.
You woke up to your car being stolen? Does this mean you woke up and saw someone stealing your car?

You looked at your car and from what you can tell the tires and wheels were stolen but your not sure?

If your car was stolen you have my sympathy , that really sucks, I hope it all gets straightened out in your favor.

I hope you can figure out if they stole your wheels and tires or not.

My guess is they tried to break the shifter to put it in neutral and have the tow truck pull it on to a flat bed and if they couldn't do that then they used the step crank up dollies carried by most tow companies. Sucks the car was taken.

Good question, yes the police have since then located the vehicle. Here's what I learned about OnStar personally, there are some things that I believe could be done better.

For example, when your vehicle has been stolen OnStar will only inform you of its location after police have recovered the vehicle. According to OnStar, they do this mainly for safety/privacy reasons. The issue with this I believe is that time is of the essence in a situation like this. If OnStar gave customers the location data while advising them to only go with authorities, then that'd be great. Because it would cut down on the time to find the vehicle or maybe even catch the suspects in the act.

It would also be nice if more things in our vehicles were "connected" to OnStar. Such as, the gear shift, windows etc. What if OnStar could be notified when these things were damaged or tampered with? When a vehicle is driven in neutral for too long etc. Or when a vehicle has left its ''designated location'' so to speak. Maybe these things do exist but I haven't dug deep enough into the depths of OnStar. But if they don't exist, then there is most certainly room for improvement. Otherwise, customers will just have to equip their vehicles with more after-market features.
