So are the new Mustangs as expensive as the current Camaros with comparable options?

The base GTs might still be dirt cheap. That might go up slightly. But for the full options it'll be about the same price as the full option SS or so I would imagine. It might even be slightly more than the SS.

A comparable build to mine was just a bit more expensive. Think it was like $500 more.

If so, then we should see reviews in the next week or two. Automakers like to set press embargoes to the start of production. Which means that comparison tests will probably start appearing at least a month later.

way way too many bad points about the 2015 to 2017 gt mustang to ever consider the new mustang

hood flutter
high speed stability
ac problems
driveline problems

i hated my 2016 gt within a month of ownership. loved every minute of my 2013 camaro ss.
test drove the gen6 camaro and was blown away with it..saving hard right now to either buy a used one next summer or a brand new one april 2019

Touche. But I dont consider myself anything like that guy. All his posts are basically the same. I didnt troll this thread, some got upset because I gave my opinion.

2018 GT goes 7 tenths faster than 2015-2017 in the 0-60 department, but somehow slows way down from 60-110ish(figure trap will be slightly over 110) and ends up only 2-3tenths faster in the 1/4 than the outgoing 2015-2017.

How are you coming up with 7 tenths?

3.8ish 0-60 for 2018. 4.4-4.5 for 2015-2017 GT.

Ford says under 4.0 to 60 and yet you believe that means 3.8ish trust me, if the 18 GT did it in 3.9 they would of said 3.9. When they say under 4, chances are it was just barely under 4 like 3.99. The way these guys are lowering the time, it will be 3.7 by the time it hit the dealerships.

Under 4 in what conditions also. No use comparing media times with Ford's claims. They could be like Dodges and used a well prepped track in optimal conditions. Or could be like some of GM's and be on the conservative side. We just don't know at this point.

I'm thinking back to GM with the new Corvette Z06. They said it will hit 60 in 'under 3 seconds'. Turns out the 'official 0-60' was a claimed a 2.95 (first time I ever saw anyone go to hundredths of a second for a 0-60), and then it was only with an automatic.
