Thx Cem, will try to have them push a bit more. If no one had problems with the rims rubbing on track than it should be safe. Tire wear from one trackday with stock -1 in the front was killing me before. (Made the mistake of first wanting to feel stock, and not adjusting right away)
Did anyone other than Provoste fiddle with the angle of the dampers to create more space?

No. I'm running -2.5° in the front with no modifications and no rubbing.

Here's my last session from Dominion Raceway last Sunday, had a blast out there with fellow 1LE'r Mike (RXtacy)!! The first few laps of this session weren't my fastest but they were definitely the most fun thanks to the guy in the RX8 putting up a pretty good fight!

I was maxed out at -2.2 camber in front prior to elongating the factory camber adjustment hole. I know a lot of other guys have said -2.4-2.6 is possible stock... but my car couldn't get there. I know Cem did the same mod and is at -2.9 front camber just like my car.

Amazing driving as always, you really show what's possible with our car!
Yeah roughly 1/2 the unsprung weight of 18's really make the car accelearate harder and feel lighter on its feet.

Thanks- yeah I love seeing the PDR overlay with the throttle trace, the amount of time the 1LE is able to be at 50%+ throttle during a lap is staggering... and that is when lap times fall quickly.

Nice!
Watching PDR videos on youtube has become a new pastime for me. It seems like a reoccurring theme in the videos is the 1LE doing all the passing.

It was a blast man! Especially considering that this was only my second track day, the fact that I didn't get passed a single time all day had me grinning ear-to-ear! Even for a track day noob such as myself the 1LE makes it look easy, or I'm just a much better driver than I give myself credit for lol

Yes, tire wear looks very even with that kind of camber. I think camber plate might be even a better idea since it eliminates the need of grinding the tabs ( I would still grind them to gain more clearance, ) and extending camber bolt holes. With half of the camber coming from top mounts (instead of knuckle) it makes 18x10.5" or maybe 18x11" SQ setup possible to run with 315/30/18 all around. The only problem is with the very wide, grippy tires OEM suspension tune feels a bit funky

I agree for the price especially these cars are hard to beat in stock form

That's great! And the stability of the adjustment hole is still sufficient right? I'm quite surprised the clearance between dampers and inner part of the OEM rims is no issue for you. My mechanics were warning about that already at -2. I'll try to be there next time. If it works for you it would be weird if I had so much less space. Prolly just too conservative thanks a lot for the help!

Ahaa! So you did grind the tabs, that explains a lot sorry Provoste, didn't see that this morning. Getting the right camber plates here might be a bit tough, so if you guys have no material stability issues after grinding tabs and elongating the holes I think I'll do the same. The outer quarters of the front tires are already slicks and I'd like to avoid that next season ^^

Yes, I didn't see any negative effects after 3-4 events. My front alignment was also stable when the last time we checked. If you're not planning to go with 18" wheels (anything wider than 10") and 19" will work for you, you might as well do what we did. At this point the only real advantage with the camber plate looks like being able to gain more clearance up front to fit wider 18" wheels.

With some custom offset forged wheels, it looks like 18x10.5" with +10 to +14mm offset might work but it would be an expensive test Especially when Apex wheels are dirt cheap

Actually I found these: https://www.morenomotorsports.com/co...ber-caster-kit
Looks pretty good! Would be cool to have -3 on track and adjust back to more "humane" settings afterwards.. I don't daily drive but still for road trips it wouldn't be too bad.

Those are great camber plates. Just remember changing camber is going to affect toe even with the plate.

More discussion here.

Here's how I did at Summit main last weekend. Sorry about the video cropping, I need some better editing software and just used what I had... you get the idea though.

Just got a few pics from the photog that was there too! I just made an album instead of dumping them here.
