Quick question, i'm about to order these from Phastek in gloss black....i saw on some thread and i can't find it now, that MRR offers another clear coating for $100 a wheel. Is that just for the other colors or is it for the black as well and should I get that coating if Phastek can get it for me?

MMR will powdercoat ANY wheels they sell for $100 per wheel before they send them to Ricardo...... with powder coat they are much more resistant to abrasion, scratching dings, etc. It will add a week onto the order.

I just spoke to Ricardo. The only clear coat option is for the Brushed Finished wheel. That is because the brushed finish is bare aluminum.

Mighunter, all the MRR wheels have clearcoat applied from the factory. As we spoke, it is not necessary to apply more clear to our wheels.
Similar to your car paint.
