Installed mine today. Very easy install, took around 40 minutes. Took her for a drive an noticed off the bat that there is slight more crackle to the exhaust. A more throaty sound indeed. However, its slight, but its there and I like it! Also, has for performance, I was not able to tell a difference. If anything, it felt a little lagged at the throttle, like it took an extra .2 second to get going. I don't have the tune yet, which i'm going in tomorrow at 2:30 for. Which the dealership was giving me a hard time about since I installed it myself and they told me they have not tuned a car for this yet. However, they still told me to come in after I read the instructions to the service manager and told him GM stated that it REQUIRES a tune. They did not turn me away then.

Have you guys checked this out? 1/4th runs with and without intake. Went from from 12 to 11.9s every run. Look to be about 10hp. Not bad.

Did you get your tune done? Any afterthoughts? I don't know if it's just in my head... but don't feel like mine is running as good since I put the CAI on.

Yeah, as soon as I got the tune everything felt fine again. I no longer feel any lag and the engine sounds normal again. Before it sounded and felt like it was running lean. There is more to the tune than people think. It changed the way the car handles the extra air. Get a tune and you're good to go. I also feel like my gas mileage went down some. Before id average 15.3 now im at 15.0, but that could be my foot. idk. Overall i'm happy with it.

I just recently purchased this cold air intake and my local dealer is clueless about the tune and the product. I was told that GM just recently released another bulletin about aftermarket parts voiding my warranty. I then proceeded to tell them that it was a factory GM performance part. I was pretty much turned away because one had never been installed at their dealership. I contacted another Chevrolet dealer just to the North of them and was pointed to an aftermarket performance shop. Of course I don't want to do that cuz I want record of the tune being performed at GM dealership. We even went as far as contacting GM performance parts online and the person didn't know what to do either. She said she couldn't find the part on their website. Any ideas guys?

Install it yourself. Its a bolt on. It takes 45 minutes, and there are tutorial videos online. Its easy. Then, you need to bring the tune code on the papers that came with the part to a dealer. They call GM an then GM sends them the tune. They just download it into your car. My dealer did it for free of charge. They don't do it often but keep calling dealers. Even if you have to drive an hour away get it done. You will eventually find a dealer to do it. Make sure you let them know the tune comes with the part and there is a labor code for them to enter. If no one will do it, call GM and they will call a dealer for you to have it done.

Sounds like a plan. Yeah I was gonna do the install myself and just have the dealership tune it. After all the sole purpose of purchasing their intake was to not give them a reason to void my warranty! Lol

What is the difference from P/N 84315275? Can this one also be tuned in a CARB state?

Not sure where the neg reviews are. Its a beautiful CAI branded by GM and they offer a tune for free that honestly is needed. I ran a 4.4 0-60 with it on a bumpy road... Can't complain. And that extra air noise going into the engine sounds beast.

I wonder if the people that bought P/N 84315275 in a CARB state will be able to get the ECM update included with P/N 84329125?
