I know this because I saw him fill the jug from the bulk tank and carry it over, pour it in and then get ready to start the car.

My old fat body never moved so fast but I tore out of the service waiting area and into the bay area. The manager comes after me advising I'm not allowed back there. As I get to the car I said "don't start it yet!!". He looks at me. I asked him if we can check the stick before he cranks it. He's nice about it and obliges but couldn't find oil on the stick. The manager is still asking me to leave the area so I explain I saw only 8 quarts go in the car. He even quips that it requires 10 and is on the service order. The technician admits he only did 8. Whew.....

He tops it off with two more quarts then checks the stick again. Now he is saying its till low and I told him to wait until it settles. After about 10 minutes all is well.

The manager apologizes profusely and offers me swag. I told him I didn't understand why there was an issue since this crew has been so awesome in the past. Answer was a new team member. Guess more training required.

Anyway....all is good. I'm sure when he started it and saw the pressure sucked he would have caught it. 2 quarts down for a warm start wouldn't do much but still.

Have a great weekend all.

Dang! Like Heath said I would've done the same as well as I change my own oil.

As for where to dispose of it for free and legally: AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, O'Relieys for sure. I would imagine Pep Boys and Napa would too.

You'd think that any dealer that has ever sold a C7 would know that LT1 requires 10 quarts.

I was on my way to Pontiac for a Snarky Puppy concert. Looked in my rear view and noticed I was being followed by a Fifty Coupe.

It was an SS, but with single exhausts, so I'm guessing no NPP. These shots are from my Thinkware F750.

So its been a week for firsts........ Today I got the dreaded "remote not found" error when I tried to restart the car. I think I know what sequence of events caused the problem but I'll be damn if I am going to purposely try it again.

I parked in front of Sheetz to go in the store. When I shut the vehicle off my finger slipped on the button so I actually shut it off then it went into accessory mode. I pushed the button again to make sure it was off. I got out of the car, pressed the door lock and nothing. I pressed it several more times. No response. I pressed unlock and saw the camaro startup screen on the dash so knew I was getting something. Got in the car, pressed the start button and again nothing. No message.......nothing. I then put the fob in the cup holder pressed the button and nothing. Now I am getting a panic attack. One more desperate attempt to start it and it works. Been without issue since.

I'm going to stay in bed the rest of the weekend.

Pretty "similar" to what I experienced about a year ago Mike.......Dealer even attempted to "recreate" it, but no go.......It never happened again......

Talk about a bit of a crappy day - I pull my Fifty into my garage for the last time yesterday, as it is now "off the road".......Large 2.5 garage....Not even thinking, I swung the Drivers door open, and BANG - right into a metal shelf.....No dent, but a "REALLY NICE" chip on the lip of the drivers door..................So off to the Dealer this morning to get a touch up pen...........I guess "it" happens.........

Damn, not a good vert weekend. Back in the spring I got a chip on the lip of my trunk lid. Dealer had touch up paint that filled in perfectly. Can't even see where it was now. Good Luck!!
