Are the ZL1 Add Ons and GM accessory ones our only splash guard options still?
I am not a splash guard kinda guy at all, but with these sticky wide tires, and white paint, cleaning it after every drive is getting old even with it not being my daily driver lol.
So I am going to give in and get some splash guards. I am not a fan of the GM ones, so was leaning towards the thinner ZL1 Add Ons ones. Honestly, I wish they were even smaller, but they aren't bad. Are these the only choices still? |

haha we have the same car and after the car show this morning I may break down and do some too.
There was crap everywhere just from my drive to it. I washed the car late yesterday. |

The zl1 add-ons gaurds aren't too big. They actually add a little style to the side profile. And I hate most rock gaurds also

Question, what is it about the GM rock guards that you aren't a fan of?

I bought the ZL1 addons version shortly after I bought the car.
2 things; One, I forget that they are even on the car until I'm washing it. Honestly the blend that well in the wheel well. Two, I don't daily drive mine either, and I can tell you that although they provide heavy protection, the tires still through "boogers" up the side of the car. Nothing major, heavy stuff definitely deflected. But there are still little bits that get up on the door panels and rear quarters. After a weekend drive, I still clean the car to keep it looking great. I guess that's the price we pay for super sticky, wide tires!! For me, they just look too clunky. Even body color matched I think they stick out like a sore thumb. A friend of mine who has a 2SS has them and not only do I not like the way they look, I don't think they provide ample enough coverage for the 1le.

Just how the shape disrupts the flow of the design to me.

RPI carries their type of rock guards. Practically the same look but a little different method of mounting.

I agree about the GM ones, I think they clash against the body of the car. I have the ZL1 Addons rockguards and I love them. They do a good job blocking debris from the sides of the car and blend in really well, when you actually do notice them they give this kind of widebody feel to the car. My car is Nightfall Grey so the black works really well with the body IMO
