No power, battery?

This week I dropped the car off at my dealer to have them look at the hood alignment and install the ZL1 3rd brake light at the same time.

Dealer called me to let me know the car is ready, so I show up to take her home and I can see the car outside in the front parking lot as I arrive. I do the paperwork and head out to the car, I'm holding down the unlock button to open the windows as I approach and they aren't going down. I press it again just in case, and nothing. I'm thinking the fob has died.

So I go back inside, tell the guy my fob is dead and he comes out to check with me. Maybe there was some interference from something outside, so I leave my other fob on the desk, turn off my bluetooth on the phone, and still nothing.

We got in the old fashioned way with the key, pushed the button and..surprise, nothing again. So needles to say, the car is at the dealer for the weekend at least as they try to trouble shoot this. The only thing I can think of causing this is the 3rd brake light causing an issue, mind you they did drive it from the back parking lot to the front earlier today.

But at least the ZL1 3rd brake light looks sexy with the dark tail light combo.

Doubt the 3ed break light would cause any issues... It takes 15 minutes to install, just clips right in. Seems like you just got unlucky.

No way the 3rd brake light is causing this at all.

My thoughts exactly, I'm betting they unhooked the battery and didn't hook it up properly afterwords? Or the light is causing a drain, unlikely but possible.

I should have it back today.

Been busy with work and haven't been able to update this minor problem. Turns out someone left the hazard lights on....
