Did any of you'll notice a very slight vibration in the brake pedal is you apply the brakes lightly at highway speeds? (ex you are coming up on heavy traffic and have to apply the brakes at 60mph). Almost like a very slight warped rotor feel. Mine is doing this but only at that speed. All other speeds the brakes feel super smooth. I wonder if my TC isn't unlocking. I also noticed what I think is a little bit of shutter, but I have had it bog on me a few times at low speeds instead of downshifting and going.

I can definitely vouch that my issue started out as just a momentary shudder when switching from V4 to V8 under light throttle. It has now got to the point I can feel a shudder regardless of AFM being on or off at speeds of 35-55mph (particularly under load at low rpm like climbing a small hill). It also will do it during shifts at light throttle. But so far at highway speed 60+mph no issues. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I had the whole transmission replaced in mine and the issue is still there. I have a V6 though, so I'm not sure if that would be any different. |

Also take a look at this post from the start of the thread and see if your situation is described there: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...88&postcount=2 In any case the 8L45 and 8L90 share 2 completely different TCs. The trans itself are similar designs but different torque capacities mean different components and sourced materials. If we get a SS owner with a replaced TC shuddering again, that would be quite a different story.

Just noticed this on my 2017 SS with 22k miles on it (I got it used at 20k). Gonna add it to the list for the next time I take it in I guess. 1k-1.5k rpm cruising, I get a light shudder like rumble strips.

Well add me to the list at 1800 miles.
Took mine to the dealer yesterday morning for shudder while in V4 primarily at 67 - 70 during light acceleration but I could make it do it at various speeds while in V4 and could feel it at time during light acceleration from a dead stop. Dealer called today, they said they contacted GM and were told there was a service tip and to update the engine code, transmission code and flush the transmission 3 times to get all the old fluid out. I'll be watching it closely to make sure this fixes the problem but I honestly think they'll end up having to replace the torque converter. Wish they were doing the torque converter now but not much I can do about it. Was told they had to order the fluid and it wouldn't be in until Friday, then it would take most of the day to complete the 3 flush procedure. They'll have it until at least Monday. At least I have their rental car to use for free until mine gets back. |

I picked up my car this morning after doing the triple flush at 13,500 miles. It seems to be fixed now. We will see for how long.

I just picked mine up from the dealer (2016 SS) after triple flush with 13.5K miles on it. I tried everything to get the dear to change the TQ but not luck. On the drive home, I could feel that it's better but not what it should be. I'm driving 100 miles tomorrow and will get a better ideal if the flush worked or is it back to the dealer again.

I have a heavily modded 16' SS with what appears to be this same issue. It sounds like I'll have to replace the TC. Anyone have a pointer to what I should pay for the part and a good place to pay it?
Initial research looks like $300 - $600... I don't think there is any way the dealer will even touch it with the supercharger on there...

I like the two posters before me have had the triple slush done at 13,000 miles. The first 50 miles I was not sure it was fixed, but now after 300 miles I never feel the problem again. Unless you are set on changing the converter you may want to invest in the fluid change. Best of luck CD |

There's definitely mixed results on whether the flush alone fixes the problem. My guess is it has to do with number of miles and how bad the issue got before action taken. The fluid flush would not be cheap to do out of warranty. Personally I would flush and replace the TC while you had it apart to be sure.
