Driver Rear Signal Out - 2017 1LT <7k miles

Hi there...

I originally posted this in the Camaro5 forum... Sorry... still new to Camaros...

I'm starting to get a bit concerned... I have a 2017 1lt that doesn't even have 7k miles on it. So far I've had to have the passenger door speaker replaced, then my phone wasn't being recognized so they replaced the USB outlets... that didn't work, so they replaced the radio, which did the trick. This holiday weekend I'm driving on the L.A. freeways and my left rear signal goes out... I am NOT happy. I went and bought the new bulbs - I've replaced bulbs before, so no problem. But the booklet states only the reverse bulb can be replaced. I tried anyway and there was no way I could get into the area. I mean, I'm sure there _is_ a way, but I'm doing this in >100 degrees and I'm angry... This should NOT be happening to a car that doesn't even have 7k miles on it. The PIA part is I have to take it into the dealership... AGAIN... and lose work time... AGAIN. I LOVE my car, but this is becoming ridiculous...

Has anyone posted explicit instructions (with pictures - or better yet - a video) of how to replace the 2017 signal lights? I can't find anything on YT... Just hoping to avoid a trip to the dealership, but I'm also concerned this may be something bigger and they should know it happened.

Thank you!

Pretty sure the signal lights are LEDs that are built into the light, that's why they say only the reverse bulb can be changed.

I'm not 100%sure of this though, but I'm sure someone else will chime in soon.

Thanks. I took it to the dealership and my rep changed the bulb. I had the wrong kind (even though I bought the kind the book recommended - maybe it was the one for the reverse light). It wasn't an LED. I had to reschedule an appt to go there, so was in a rush, so we didn't test it. When I left, the signal still clicked fast, telling me it wasn't fixed. Went back the next day, and he had to replace the one next to it. They'd both gone out. Crazy that the owner can't even replace a signal bulb without going to a mechanic. He showed me some of the tools he had to use - one of them being a long handled pronged fork thing.

Anyhow, I'll leave this here for others who come across the same issue.

Thanks!
